you don't have to be a girl to be a mom, and you don't have to be a man to be a dad. If the child decides to call you that, there is no helping it, I find it cute.

I believe it's alright if the characters don't mind being called mommy and daddy. In the end, it's what the children want. If they want a mom figure in their lives, they can choose whoever they want as their mom. After all, in the manga, the kid is surrounded by other kids whose parents are "mom" and "dad." The impression of needing a mom role was there to begin with.

Yes, I do understand this, but it's not simply "the child decided it", it's more like "the always dominant seme proposes it to children". Besides, in this specific manga it'd make more sense if the child called the uke to be his dad, 'cause that's how it "works" in a heteronormativity world. I don't know, it just sounds so sexist to me..

Depends on the family structure. The manga is like my parents relationship, the traditional mom and dad roles and all so it seems natural to me. My nephew would see it differently. My brother takes the role of "mom" while my sister in law is more of "dad".

Oops, my apologies for not refreshing the page before I posted this. I hate it when other people tell me redundant things, I hate it even more when I do it to someone else!

Although it is interesting to note how this chapter kind of parallels Rogi and Hachi's first meeting!

At this point, I think it's going to be clear as day, Akitora is NOT going to get back together with Rogi what so ever, even in the future. There is something in this story that will reveal as to why Akitora broke all ties with him in the first place. And after Rogi sodomized his son, I don't think Akitora would feel comfortable dating Rogi after that, even if Tatsu brushes off the events.

I also don't think Akitora and Rogi will get back together but I think there will be a different reason revealed and it will have little to nothing to do with what Rogi did to Tatsuyuki. We are learning a lot about Akitora, primarily that he is drawn to people who he thinks mirror him or display qualities he thinks he possesses. He uses people to feed his ego. If he still found Rogi complimentary to his ego, what Rogi did to Tatsuyuki wouldn't stop him from taking up with him again. After all, he knew who Rogi was and what kind of person he was and yet he allowed Tatsuyuki to be indebted to him without intervening.

He allowed Tatsuyuki to bring Rogi into the organization even after knowing what had happened. And we're witnessing right now that Akitora is self-involved and self-indulgent, regardless of the feelings of others. So I don't see Tatsuyuki's rape getting in the way of anything Akitora wants.
