this is the official synopsis tho: “ Timid orphan Violet discovers she's the empire's new saint destined to destroy the evil Malum. Unfortunately, she's surrounded by scornful nobles and the power-hungry emperor and pope. Alone, friendless, and overwhelmed, she finds solace in Ethelmund, heir of House Ermengart, who vows to protect her until the end. Can this fragile wildflower find her footing in the thorny and dangerous world of politics and betrayal? And will she be able to fulfill her destiny with only Ethelmund by her side?”
we got incest out in the open now, they not even trying to hide it anymore
It went from step bros to just brothers
Are they really like actual brothers?
Alpha and omega sibs can’t be affected by pheromones, only step siblings cause that’d be sick otherwise
Dark themes have been since always in literature
Depends on what rules the authors makes.
yeh but like we ain't normalizing ts
The author pulling a gege with this one
Are you a child? If so you shouldn't read mature content. A little fiction talking about dark themes is not going to normalize it, if you're so weak minded that can't distinguish fiction from reality then stop reading any type of fiction.
you need to chill out bro
Nope, I care deeply about this. Censorship may look as the righteous option to stop "problematic" storytelling, but the same morals have been used to just censor what the oppressors think is immoral (homosexuality, political opinions, religion).
People that can't distinguish between fiction and reality should try to learn the difference first and then engage in fiction, I can understand minors not getting this because the younger we are the more black/white, good/bad the world is for us but an adult not being able to understand nuace speaks to me as someone who needs to grow more.
honestly, I see your point and I do agree upon thinking about this further from another perspective! thanks for sharing your thoughts on this :) I myself actually do read and love fiction with dark themes and topics, it's just that I wanted to point out, that even though dark themes have always been around, we shouldn't be normalizing it, not necesarilly meaning we need to censor or ban; though what you meant at first wasn't as clear to me as it is now.
