im wrighting about drees code for school so please remember this is my original work and im trying to finish it so please tell me any suggestions or add on's you may have (≧∀≦)

“You can't wear that to school,’’ something you may or may not have heard before, hello I am a female 8th grader going into high school this year, even though I may seem young to you I have many opinions on dress code. In middle school (Junior high) I thought the dress code was reasonable like ‘’no cleavage’’ or ‘’all pants can't go shorter than mid-thigh'’ of course, since I'm going into high school, I thought I should do some research on the dress code and low and behold it was astounding on what I found some examples are “Any top exposing any part of bra (including straps)” “Tops that expose the back” “Garments that, when standing, sitting or walking, show stomach” not only is this mostly targeting the female students of the school it also gets in the way of our school life. Frist I'm going to focus on how dress code mainly targets female students I'm not saying there's no dress code for males I'm just saying that the females have a lot stricter dress code some stuff I get like the ones I had in middle school but the fact it's even a rule that we can't show are bra straps or back is ridiculous, when you think about it most dress code rules just teach woman that you will be punished for clothes you like to ware and that it's our fault. I don’t know what it's like for all Schools so I'm only speaking from experience whenever I asked someone what the dress code was for, they almost always said “because its distracting” or “you'll get attention from the wrong crowd” by saying it’s distracting you are building a stereotype that males can't control themselves and even if they can't it's not what we wear that’s the problem.
