Ahhh yes Jo, the third supposed main character, being dwindled down to a plot device to strengthen a drawn out relationship based solely on trauma and time we love that so, SO much.
Ian should have ended up with no one, thats the conclusion i’m at right now. Jo is so far out of Ians league its insane, and TJ is a fuck up who finally, after multiples of mistakes, being confused on what he really wanted finally knows what he wants after over a decade, doesn't deserve Ian for dragging him on for so long. Ian went back to TJ because he’s all he's truly known, yes they love each other but this relationship only lasted because of their extremely long, complicated history. If Ian had known Jo for the same amount of time he knew Tj, he would have surely picked Jo.
Im so dissatisfied with this ending, I just want to see Jo one last time.
And before you TJ stans come in my replies, yes, TJ was trying to protect Ian by gaining power in the gang but lets not act like it didn't get lost in translation somewhere along the way and he simply wanted that power for himself which is why he at one point chose the gang over Ian…

this is about two high school playboys who basically have a rather stupid bet with each other regarding fucking one another but unintentionally at first fall in love along the way and despite how much they fuck like rabbits throughout the volumes they both genuinely care for one another through the chapter’s volumes very much, it’s really sweet at times
(I mean.. the ml straight up genuinely apologizing at one point for being a jealous motherfucker and saying he would never try to hurt or force himself on the mc again when he unintentionally partly did for a few seconds due to a misunderstanding that mc quickly cleared up? we love to see that, communication damn it!)

tldr: mc is heavily implied but not yet confirmed to be ml’s old beloved flame reborn, as he doesn’t have his past memories for reasons that’re explained in the story later on that makes it angsty as fuck for the ml.
ml is absolutely devoted to getting back his old flame, the problem? he thinks ml ‘is’ still his old flame despite mc insisting again and again he’s not, it’s really angsty in that regard because ml yearns ‘heavily’ for his old flame so much and can’t see the difference between mc being his own person and his old flame.
if you’re fine with horror, this ml is a mixture of green and red in terms of flags and doesn’t hesitate to kill for his boy if you want an idea on how much he yearns for mc.
tldr: mc is stuck in a slasher video game time loop, aka everytime ‘he’ dies the loop resets over and over but the group of guys he’s with subtly start to slowly show self awareness and signs they all know what’s going on and more then then the mc does.
