So many people are criticizing the author for including the biphobia in their work but I think that’s what makes it more realistic biphobia is something that’s still very visible both from non-queer and queer sides and to include it is important instead of only focusing on the positive aspects this isn’t a puppy love type of bi representation but rather a realistic one and I appreciate that
The criticism is more about how soma is never confronted by how he acts towards wataru for his biphobia. He puts him down and treats him rude from the second they meet meanwhile he’s the tool using wataru and literally being verbally and emotionally abusive while thinking wataru is toxic for being bi??? Soma is just so nasty with no growth right up to the end with none of his nastiness being confronted really. That makes representation NOT representation but rather biphobia by acting as if it’s justified. So it makes sense if people feel that way

I wrote that hoping that the characters would be able to redeem themselves or at least acknowledge their faults (especially soma

I get you. Otherwise it’s definitely nice to see bi people and issues come up in manga and the topics be treated seriously. Wish it was explored more in the manga
