But I will say that considering the current state of the U.S and how the red states are actively trying to turn back time as we speak, many of us just cannot look at this as harmless historical fiction. Me personally, I would not have called for it to be cancelled. I would have just not read this manhwa and never have read anything coming from this Author again. I am clearly not the targeted audience. In the last 3-4 years, I have become numb to the utter disregard that people directly affected by this history has had to face. But if the story were not cancelled, it would fit right in to American media, I can tell you that. Just look at how many people were mad that this was cancelled.

I don't know how to feel about these characters. I think out of all of this, the people who are the most at fault is the king and current empress. They are both pretty messed up.
So it looks like they might have ran away together and he gave up going to college as a result. My guess is that because they both are not very college educated, it was a struggle for them to make a living and after a while he started to resent her for it. Deep down he blames her because he feels like he gave up his future to protect her from her father. It's so fucked up if this is the case. But stuff like this does actually happen.
MC is literally stuck between two highly manipulative men. I feel so sorry for her. Taeha is cute and all, but the guy scares me sometimes.
She needs that toxic ass manipulate ass man dude. She's fucken broken and her self esteem is TRASH. If he's willing to put in the effort to separate them then hell yeah. Ideally she leaves him too, afterwards, and finds a nice normal man but I'll take anything as long as she doesn't go back to her trash ex husband or another one like him (lazy, abusive, disrespectful and ungrateful)

There is no security at all in this relationship. It still feels like he sees her as a toy that will dump her as soon as he gets bored. I am worried for FL.
This is started to get weird and makes no sense, low key. I mean the story is going out of it's way to involve the people the screwed over the FL. It literally makes no sense to dance with a guy who snatched the mask off of your face in your "first meeting". And while they dance, he goes and tells her his whole life story. Like Huh?
It's getting annoying how bad these characters are at communication. At this point, it's a bit much.
