One of the largest causes of femicide is pregnancy and abortion related. Pregnant people are more likely to be murdered by their spouse than any other type of death. Forcefully informing partners is a death sentence. It also is not possible in case of rape, one night stands with strangers as well as intoxication. I fucking hate when authors change science and legal stuff to not make any sense just for plot convenience. It could have just as much been him having to go off his meds fully for the abortion meds to work and him having to struggle with wanting to keep his education or have to get an abortion. It makes more sense than whatever the author did here. Just total ignorance of pregnancy, abortion meds, and legal aspects and history and reality of pregnant people
Yeah. I don't see why in this world it'd be required to inform a partner of a pregnancy since, as you put it, is a death sentence. It's definitely plot convenience and I don't know why omegas in this universe aren't shown to be causing fucking riots over this lol. I think too many readers are not aware that the general population are idiots. Most intersex conditions not recognised at birth, but later in life, are usually found during pregnancy or fertility issues.
