The ML's brother ends up kidnapping his nanny, and while the ML tries to save her, she dies. But after she passes away, he realizes something that completely changes everything. His nanny couldn't tell colors apart properly, which meant her description of the "rose" was wrong all along. The rose he had been searching for wasn't someone with bright red hair and green eyes. It was actually someone with reddish hair and hazel eyes. And the moment he realizes that... the only person he can think of is Lissane. The worst part is that he finds out on the day she's supposed to be executed. He rushes there as fast as he can, but by the time he arrives, she's already hanging. He immediately pulls out his gun and shoots the rope causing her to fall before it's too late. I'm skipping a lot of the emotional parts because there's honestly so much that happens. The guilt completely consumes him once he realizes everything he put her through because of his brother's schemes. After that he brought lissane inside his mansion, she was so not like her yk like she was completely broken and does not have any will to live. Since Lissane couldn't speak, she communicated by pointing to sentences in her notebook. One of the sentences she pointed to asked him to forget about her and leave her, don't forgive her kinda which made the whole scene even more heartbreaking. After sometimes she finally reunites with her parents. If I remember correctly, she also goes back to her old school and later starts working. Then, of course, the ML's brother kidnaps her again. The ML manages to save her, but he gets badly injured in the process. After everything they've been through, they finally end up together.

the saying that the older you get, the more you'll see that your parents aren't heroes because they're just like us, fits this story. that doesn't excuse abusing children in any form but more on the decisions that our parents make. they are humans too, capable of mistakes and learning. whether we forgive them or not is another story. but just the fact that seyard? or was it siard? i forgot, but he was an adult who wants jayna to see things not just on her perspective but a whole lot of another picture AND expressed that it is up to her to decide what she wants to do with that info is very helpful.
imo jayna's dad wants to make it up to her BUT he needs to apologize and clearly state it himself what he wants to do for jayna. it should not be coming out of michael or anyone's mouth but him. i get it that it's hard to break a wall that has been placed bc of his actions but it is important that he must also be the one who tears that walls if he wants to be her dad.
seyard or whatever his name was, was really helpful the moment he showed up. i hoped that ellia would also provide those kind of advice bc she is as a mother, not just simply reprimanding him of not allowing jayna to go out but also teach him what he should at least do or say so the gap between them would at least ease up a bit.

and i absolutely love and relate to what haneul did for the months she's away from him that it made her realize that mincheol loves her so much she can't help but still hold unto hope that they get together eventually. how she told her sunbae was rly beautifully narrated.
