Well i have to say im a little disappointed. I actually really REALLY liked this one especially in the beginning like I binged it in one night I was so invested but right around the time the mc got his memories back it felt like the author just…wanted it over with? Completely rushed it, ruined the whole “double personality” plot (like what’s the point of them merging into one if they’re acting the same at the end), there was no falling back in love. Just emptiness and rushed plots. Also going into labor with a six pack was kinda funny.
But yeah I was just excited for a double personality plot, maybe swap back and forth, falling in love multiple times, learning the backstory, etc etc and we just got none of it because I think the author just wanted to get it over with. Sad
Is it really a red flag if both of them are trying to baby trap each other

This still pisses me off. Don’t get me wrong, Hyesung deserves closure but it genuinely feels like they’re rushing through it just to get it over with. Like why was Hyesung so accepting of it when it was revealed his whole family betrayed him! I mean he was the victim and traumatized by his mother that just the sound of her voice made him want to die only to find out his husband and son were meeting her behind his back and couldn’t understand WHY Hyesung didn’t want to meet her???? And now all of a sudden he’s just okay with meeting her again?? I would’ve understood if this happened after a lot of long discussions about it and resolving his feelings about her but it feels like they just skipped over his feelings to just go to the closure part and it really makes me upset. It’s been a while since I read the main story so I don’t remember the details but this was a HUGE part of Hyesung’s story on why he felt that he couldn’t be a good mom or deserving of any kind of relationship. It was something that had taken deep root in him that nothing could resolve that just felt like they glossed over. Family trauma like this can’t be solved so easily and would take years of consideration and therapy. I love this story don’t get me wrong but I feel like this sequel has done damage to Hyesung’s character either because they don’t want to focus on him here too and his character is too deep and complicated, or they are tired of writing Hyesung’s story, but at that point just don’t include it at all, it was resolved in the first one with him meeting her once and resolving never again.
Hopefully that all makes sense, I stayed vague since I don’t remember the main story as much (I should reread) but I know how traumatic this is to Hyesung that they’re just glossing over that at this point they should’ve just never had the grandmother in the story to begin with if they weren’t going to do it right
It was the one thing I LOVED about love is an illusion, that even though Hyesung was annoying at the start, his character was realistic due to all his trauma. He was just scared and lonely because he felt no one would truly love him even when Dojin did and Dojin would NEVER do something that would make Hyesung think otherwise, but here it feels like their dynamic is just a shallow version and they got rid of the complex, realistic characters I loved from the first one

Mc: runaway beggar after being abandoned by his og family and the death of his adoptive parents, long brown hair and is buff. He was found by his original family who sold him off to the ml due to dying from a disease that gives him too much yang energy
He had a veil that he was never allowed to take off unless he slept with the ml so he had a veil for a long time
They actually met before the mc was sold off when the mc’s previous owner (who was a woman that gave the mc woman orgasms or whatever the fuck) and the ml murdered all of them and raped the mc
In recent ish chapters (recent when I was reading like months ago) the mc was revealed to be pregnant and the ml was sacrificing himself to contain an ancient evil
It was a very interesting read that I could shut my brain off for so I would like it back cuz ngl I wanna know how it finished if it did or if the mc gave birth already

Yknow what, I’ll say it. I think this had a relatively good ending and story all things considered
Trust me I’m not biased, I was Jinx’s number one hater since it first came out but gave it a shot recently and I do genuinely think it wasn’t all that bad. Out of all the rape/black flags to wholesome type manhwas, it’s not my favorite nor is it the best (that’s reserved for waterside night/low tide in twilight) but it wasn’t as horrible as I thought it would be and I actually really liked the character development and the development of Jaekyung with their relationship. Like I’m genuinely happy they ended up together the way they did all things considered.
I’m not big into rape or abuse but I can vibe with an angsty story like this now and again as long as it isn’t too bad (unfinished business and killing stalking YUCK)
But this was a good read and yknow what im glad I gave it a chance. Happy for them :) BOTH OF THEM GET YO HAPPY ENDINGS
In regards to his hair color, how I saw it was that he has black hair or well HAD black hair until the rift that trapped him for 8 years and during that rift his hair turned white either from stress, the rift itself, his power, etc. since his hair was black as J but during the earlier chapters when he escaped the rift his hair was white, and if I remember correctly there’s a point where he talks about having to dye his hair back to black recently, so like his hair right now is still white he’s just dying it black (like it was before the rift) either to keep his identity as J, to feel more human since white isn’t natural, or to live quietly better because white is flashier in countries like Korea where everyone has black/brown hair
I do kinda want him to stop dying his hair though cuz ngl he looked SOOO good with the white hair and he would look so cool as J with white hair, plus he wouldn’t have to worry about dying it every day
