With Jinks, nothing is coherent, the whole scenario is very poorly constructed, there's no real meaninful progression in the story.
The first few chapters are all sex scenes (or should I say all rape scenes) and there's almost no emotional development (good or bad). Then, towards the last few chapters, there's a sudden break in the sex scenes and we're we have a whole bunch of pointless adventures to supposedly progress the story, but which in reality look more like an "oops, I only drew sex for the first 40 chapters and now it's almost the end of the season and the story is going nowhere, so we stop the sex for a while and put in lots of vague exposition because we didn't do it at the beginning and in a progressive way" from the author.
Finally, I'd say that what I find even more annoying than the poor quality of the story is readers who say "if you criticize Jinks it's because you're a haters, just enjoy the story". And my answer is that if so many people are complaining about the story and the characters, it's not for no reason, there must be a problem. Of course, there are always haters who criticize without foundation. But here, the readers have clearly expressed valid negative points. Seriously, there wasn't a chapter where the overwhelming majority of people didn't point out the story's flaws.
I don't remember if there were that many bad comments about BJ Alex, but frankly I have fond memories of it and even reread the entire story twice.
In short, Jinks season 1 clearly has major flaws and is sorely lacking in quality writing. The author's drawing style, on the other hand, has really improved and is visually stunning.
I hope season 2 will be better.
