can someone explain to me how the church and shuli was involved? i get that its an internal power struggle or whatever you call that but wtf is going on
It's a power struggle and bcoz of this they need a sacrificial lamb. It shows that the only key and the lamb they need is shuli, who is the former head, a noble and a mother. Bcoz if they sacrifice shuli they can gain many things. For ex., Church can be a guide for those who lost their love one thru war, the one who lead the war is Jeremy and the one who start the war to have a revenge. Also, the emperor will take action. That is another best gain for the church. Bcoz it will shows that the emperor is lacking in governance if a war never stop and lead so many lost lives and poverty. It means they will be the next ruler and they can have access in Jeremy's family money and another nobles. It means they want to control the nobles, but in the eye of the poor they are holy.
ooooh thank you!! i get it now
