Hi guys, I was wondering what you all thinking about The Beginning After The End? (Please do not judge negatively on other opinions since opinions are about preferences, be nice! Thankies)
Don’t like it and can’t see why it’s so popular. First of all, the anime is hot garbage, but that aside the manhwa is not much better.
I read up until the start of the war stuff. The first part where he was a kid was alright like 6/10 at best, also didn’t hate when he joined that party for a bit, but everything from when he went to that school and after is so ass. The academy arc was useless, literally could have not existed and the story would be the exact same. And after that it’s just training montage, aura farm, more problems, training montage, aura farm. All the characters with emotional weight to them disappeared in favour of boring ass solo training. I’m not even a ‘romance’ hater but the romance is terrible. Bro is basically a pdf.
I genuinely cannot believe people call this ‘peak’. Their standards must be in hell.
Did not really like the plot. Very samey repetitive things happen, and there is only so many shades of grey. Any romance where they meet where the person is an adult in a child’s body and meets the love interest when they’re a 100% real kid is questionable at the VERY BEST and just a crime at worst ( which isn’t a very wide scale) other than that, the romance is not good in any other ways
Overall, while mc has more character than generic reincarnation/isekai shounen protag (I like that he isn’t an orphan), it fails at meeting the standard of other better stories with better main characters, and sometimes just replaces story and character development with aura farming.
Slop is still slop, no matter how stinky it is. 4/10 at its best (imo)
Not my cup of tea ngl. It was just the same oldtype of manhwa. I tried getting into it coz it was trending but i don't really get the hype.. Characters are boring but ig if you like mushoku, you'll like this but this one has better morals. way way better than mushoku
