Most people seem to think Dan is going to get kidnapped, but I think he's just gonna unintentionally leak intel about JJK. Like maybe someone cozies up to Dan, he leaves some files unattended, and they take pictures. It wouldn't be the first plot point taken directly from the BJ Alex playbook (the uke making a careless mistake that could threaten the seme's career).
Not bad! I like it! I don't want it to be a kidnapping (even though my dopey brain wants it to be) because I don't see JJK as a hero at all. Saving Dan? Sure, he had his moments where he stood up for Dan but that doesn't mean much compared to the abuse. Unfortunately, that also means Dan will get yelled at again....or threatened by the spy
I've finished chapter 43, and I have a strong gut feeling that I won't like where the story goes from here. If someone gets through to the end and can tell me that it doesn't get and stay horribly depressing from here on out, then *maybe* I'll come back and finish. Otherwise I'm peacing out for my own mental health.
Hae-In's dad is a classic example of an enabling parent. He made excuses for his daughter, never followed up with logical consequences of her bad behavior, and tried to smooth over what she did in an effort to keep the peace. This usually happens out of feelings of guilt and shame when previous approaches to parenting a child don't work anymore and they ask themselves, "Is it my fault? What am I doing wrong?" I pity Hae-In's dad for that feeling of inadequacy he obviously has, but that's about it.
This story would be a lot better if it weren't so choppy. It feels like there are pages missing that's really disrupting the flow of the story. If there's NOT pages missing, then this has been poorly story-boarded.
