I feel like this is going to be a bit circular with Tei "wanting the best" (kids?) for Shalakalaka and being conflicted with his own feelings.

For my two cents, I think he might be participating in the Atura himself, but maybe just to assess the competitors. And in some ways demonstrate his own provess to others and especially Shuraka. Ofc he wont be his own knight, those titties need extra protection.
So, Chase was the most sceptical back when Shuraka came to get his man. Now Tei isn't getting his letters, not getting any answers. He's prolly getting a bit paranoid, his bro has been kidnapped!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
So prediction - hes gonna go on a quest to rescue Tei. And then shit will hit the fan...
On a diffetent note, I love rereading this thing basically every hiatus (and sometimes even more often, yes, I have a life), and I love how it recontextualizes everything said in the beginning.

I feel like this is the worst possible way for her to find out, and nobody even considered telling her any earlier, huh... And Riftan, well we know that he cannot make a good decision for the life of him. Like this is also going so slowly that I honestly do not remember most of the plot at this point.
Ok, so I don't wanna discount the pink haired concubine just yet. Thus, I propose a theory: after Shuraka was scared to hurt Tei bc of the bleeding, Shuraka reached out to the only reliable bottom he knew. Then there was a purely platonic sex ed lession on the importance of lubrication - in this case scented oils - which is why Shuraka then smelled like perfume afterwards. The pink haired boy just smells like that cuz, ya know, he prolly gets it on... with other ppl than Shuraka ofc. If there is gonna be a jealousy plot instigated by pink hair cua of that, then he a pos, but alas, everyone can still be friends, ye? (=・ω・=)

Are we not gonna talk about "this is the last time you will spend time alone" bit? I went thinking straight to sexual, but seems more ominous than that. And his comment on "this is exausting" - I really hope he's talking about holding back his feelings and passion for Tei, because otherwise it really seems dismissive on Shuraka's part. Not to mention the mother comparisons.
People on here be complaining that the chapter is short, but it really crams in a lot of potential characterisation and plot implications... And from this it really seems to paint Shuraka as an indecisive and immature character with a lot of growth ahead of him, and I do not blame Tei in the slightest for seeing him in this (pause for vomit) child-like way.
This is just word salad, but everybody seemed to have so much fun writing think pieces whilst we re-read the whole thing for the 97th time already.
