Apparently tapas was a financial drag for kakao entertainment to maintain, so they're planning to integrate tapas into one app for all their webtoons. I'm not sure what will happen to all the chapters we bought though, the tapas atists also found out at the same time as the readers so alot is still unclear. But expect end of service by end of this year or early 2027.
Yes, this is true. And just because they're merging does not mean we will still get English translations. They have announced that will not be happening. No more English translations from them. We will have to go to a different official app. They haven't stated what they will do about refunds or the stories we've already paid for yet.
Not issuing a refund is gonna get them in a whole can of worms, I read an article on Seoul Economy Daily that states that Kakao will "release a detailed transition schedule on 29 September 2026, covering which user assets can be transferred and how". So don't lose hope just yet :,)

Ghost Hunt made me cry, but it's a long read until you cry. Death Is The Only Ending For The Villainess has some angst in it, some things leave you with a bitter taste and are frustrating at times you want to cry. An Uncomfortable Truth will leave you feeling empty. Three Lifetimes is filled with tears of happiness and sadness. If you like BL, Haruka Tooki Ie.
Sorry, a majority of these are longer reads, but the BL one is a bit shorter. In order to cry, you really need to connect with the plot/characters, so it takes chapters to build a connection. IMO, at least.
