I think these are somewhat along the lines of what you want. Some of these main characters just have depression and some commit suicide and self-harm but its hard to find a main character who consistently tries to kill herself. Though I hope this helped anyways.

Thank you guys! The type of Manga I was looking for was like the 'main character is depressed but the lover helps them overcome it' kind of manga, not the kind of manga where people die. But I have to say, some of them were an eye opener for me and made me kind of grateful for a lot of things in my life. So even though they weren't the specific kind of manga I was looking for, I'm thankful for your recommendations.

There are sometimes that I want to ignore people with male anatomy because they really are douchebags sometimes, but we have to remember that they can't be perfect, and neither can we be perfect. it is an unrealistic longing that is unfair to demand perfection from others that is impossible to achieve ourselves, let alone others. They don't exist for us, and they certainly don't have the ideal person we want them to be, which makes things a lot more interesting, don't you think?
