Happened to me once, from then on I always always keep my door locked! Not going to let my mom walk in on my again while reading my uncensored cute couple having smexy time! HAHAHA

one thing you could do is not to directly make the computer face the door. also, when you step out, make your pc sleep or lock it. enable password upon waking.

i did it long time ago.. and stopped after five or more sentences (づ￣ ³￣)づ

OMG! haha yes me too!! I've been going on and off about writing.
At one time I'm so motivated to write and then when I'm kind of halfway at the first page...I wanna write another story again..and that's why I can't finish one story..Until this day.

I wrote about 400 pages of a novel, before I ran out of steam, My advice, start with an idea, write down something about each of the characters you come up with (personality traits, background, relationship to others in the story) and then write a summary or outline of how you want the story to progress - what are they doing, where etc. Then you have all you need to write your story.

One of the things that I don't really like is the dialogue thing...After I finished writing a scene and write the dialogue ..somehow it comes out as rushed and far.Idk how to get past it.

I wrote several anecdotes but I couldn't finish them because I got busy with other things.
I usually start by picturing a single character with a definite trait(side or main), a background, and then creating a plot that would develop him/her.
Or I would write scenarios with a specific dialogue and write a character or characters with specific traits/backgrounds that would complete the dialogue. Mine's usually montage or foreshadowing.

i've written a couple of serial fanfics and my advice is to just write what's in your head and then revise later and add the additional scenes. then revise again. look for plot holes. check your twists, and image the characters talking in your head. you can finish that way more than reading a lot of how-tos cuz it'll just make you all the more indecisive.

LOL...your question reminded me of my "disasters" (the stories :P)!
I started writing several stories in my mother tongue (not english) when I was in 8th grade, but my biggest problem was that, I kept getting more different ideas about writing another story while writing a story. So I ran out of interest to write the previous one pretty quickly & start a new one with a new idea. And the same thing kept happening. I have a whole notebook full of incomplete stories like that. Also, another problem that I have is, I get too concentrated on a single character/a single situation so much that I don't have enough energy to write my actual idea/scenario what I was planning to write on that day. So that's basically it. My little to non-existent writing experience & the flaws in it. Hope you don't get stuck like me.

I always make a flow... This is just a sample
"The main words are I WANT TO FLY"

The MC want to fly>>pray over the moon>>the moon send a words to the sun>>the sun deity send ikarus to the MC >> things happen >> alt 1/alt b (for climax) >> blah-blah-blah for after climax >> ending

And break them into chapter if you want to make it in the form of chapters...

Oh, always make sure to write every single of your idea and keep writing! Find someone to talk like a beta reader if you do not have the confidence ;)

i'd vouch for having a beta reader. it helps and she/he can point out stuffs you've missed too.

Exactly!!! I have three currently.. They are not only help to fix my grammar and check the flow of my stories but also help me to keep in track x)))
