Well, when its time for Yu and Chu Ling to get married, Yu waited for the guard aka Lord to stop him. He made the bet with Chu Ling that if the Lord stop him till the time of the wed than he wont get married to him but yeah the Lord hestite a lot and just in time the Hun Clan(or whatever it is. The country who want to take over Danjing) attack the Chu's hidden residence so the Lord took Yu with him (since his purpose is to make sure Yu's safety) to ask for help from his soldiers. They are chased to the point of Lord got hurt badly, in the last minute he let Yu go to where his comrades reside while he drove the enemy soldiers to opposite direction. Yu met Song and ask him to save the Lord and yeah when he is saved he almost die and tralalala Lord and Yu make up lol

Yu and Ling asked to get married by their elders to continue the family line. The last emperor of Chu had a male wife as his empress and develop a medicine to make a male can get pregnant. So yeah when Lord goes his way to offer his soldiers help in exchange Ling will give him the pill to make a male pregnant. And blablabla after Lord and Yu back together, the Lord made Yu his empress and Yu also participate in a lot of country affairs to give his opinion. And he really has the upper hand as the Lord follow every words of him lol even in the terms of spending the night together
