RIGHT WHEN ITS GETTING GOOD I CQTCH UP???? DAMN THIS

ash May 13, 2026 5:56 am

the suffering and toxicity takes too long in the story and I'm not confident the ending is worth it. nearby dropped and will never recommend this to anyone. mind you, I read some fucked up shit but God damn

    Mya May 19, 2026 6:27 am

Yeah bru it was so brutalll

ash May 1, 2026 10:52 pm

This suffers from the same thing these shoujo romances suffer from, unoriginality and pure boredom. There is nothing that sets this apart from any other dress wearing cover shoujo Manhwa. stop making these snooze fests

cancel production. the story is inherently flawed and thus there is no saving this specific narrative

ash April 26, 2026 3:52 am

this had a great start. female gaze centered, pacing was good, porn but for the girlies. after their first time together it just becomes slop. I don't get how women write shit like this supposedly for other women but consistently miss the mark. female centered sex scenes are so fucking scarce and the ones that start good even get subverted. I'm so tired

ash April 26, 2026 12:28 am

so I know I signed up for this but goodness. I've never read something that's flustered me as bad as this has

ash April 24, 2026 10:36 pm

I think all around it's a nice story. The last 5 chapters of the competition itself were atrocious, cringe, and unnecessary.

ash April 18, 2026 5:26 am

anyone saying the mc is a Mary Sue simply needs to return to the 5th grade and pick up reading comprehension once again. the main character time and time again is SHOWN (and presented) as a brilliant, smart and enchanting woman that has been bred and raised to be an Empress. y'all couldn't appreciate a strong, intelligent and stunning woman if they kicked you in the face with her.

Im too single for this April 19, 2026 11:52 am

Pls her ONLY personality trait is being a perfect empress. Her worldview isn’t challenged ONCE in the entire story, she doesn’t grow as a person nor learn from her mistakes (she makes no mistakes cause she’s “perfect” according to the story) the story simply bends to her will without any repercussions. If that isn’t a Mary Sue idk what is

holy mother of "I didn't read this story". ok, so her world view is of being a cold empress that cannot express emotions due to that being perceived as negative for the empire (hence keeping Sovieshu's image intact instead of. making a bigger deal). by the end of the story she is affectionate, a loving wife, a loving mother, trusts those around her and has a whole group of friends that would sacrifice their life for her. I guess you couldn't tell the difference cause she didn't chop all her hair off and get a leg cut off or something lol

    What’s a Mary sue lla696308

Mary Sue is a term used for heroines when everything works out for them magically. Not because of their skills or hardwork instead everything is sort of placed there for them. they typically don't go through hardship

Nope, a Mary Sue is basically an OC, "this is my perfect character! She's strong and perfect and badass and solos the whole verse. She defeats everyone." - essentially a character positioned at the very pinnacle with no character to contest her in any way, apart from maybe trivial stuff like wealth. What you're describing is plot armor, you can have plot armor without being a Mary Sue and you can be a Mary Sue without having plot armor

By spot taken do you mean spot as sovieshus wife? Thats not exactly what I mean by the top of the universe but sure and the difference btween her and most main characters is she isn't based off growth, shes perfect from the start which TBF is the point of her character, but it doesn't make her any less Mary sue

See I wasn’t seeing Mary sue cause you said she couldn’t beat and was perfect. She got beat at what she wanted to do immediately which was chill with her husband and then she didn’t get him back. you're on the right track. despite this characters whole point was to be a great empress, she still gets that title revoked and she gets thrown out of her own empire (which she basically built). this immediately disqualifies her as a Mary Sue

A "Mary Sue" is a derogatory term for a fictional character, usually female, who is unrealistically perfect, lacks flaws, and has no meaningful character development. Often serving as a self-insert or wish-fulfillment for the author, they are overpowered, universally adored, and solve conflicts effortlessly. -Google

So what part of my answer was wrong?

She is basically perfect, I can't name any proper flaws apart from her weird treatment of slaves but yk damn well that wasn't intended as a flaw, her only development from what I've seen is moving on to a better man and getting over sovieshu, she is overpowered, all her enemies met a not so good fate and everyone loves her, has she not solved just about every problem with minimal effort? Boom shes a Mary Sue case closed.

case is very much still open. very little effort? she had to beg a man to take her as his wife (denigrating for a woman that used to have everything and anything), had to deal with her people turning their backs on her and public ally humiliate her, her brother was exiled of his home country, she was harassed and demeaned by the entire upper class of the new kingdom and they only quit because her husband murdered and tortured ENTIRE FAMILIES. little to no effort? half of those things would've made an average person go insane and give up on life. people kill themselves over less

I should add she has a lot of character flaws that are constantly pointed out throughout the story. The whole reason her divorce happens is because of her pride being unable to allow her to treat the mistress even remotely decently (despite clearly being a person that needed a lot of help and garnered a lot of sympathy), she's overly calculating every single move to the point of having no real friendships until her life collapses, she has no idea who she is outside of the role she encompasses (very common mother syndrome and it is written with that in mind), she's overly cold and not affection (alluded to have been another reason why her marriage failed) lol the list could go on but I think I've listed plenty of character flaws

Those are struggles, it doesn't take effort for people to hate you. Did SHE struggle to become a queen? No she begged a man. Men are easy, that doesn't take effort. Dealing with people humiliating you doesn't take effort either, it's part of life. It takes willpower. Harassment and being demeaned as I said takes no effort because its something that happens of the accord of the agressor. Did she torture the families? No so her husband and his workers are the ones who put it effort. So yes, little to no effort. Not giving up on life doesn't take effort it takes willpower buddy, I struggled with mental health and no amount of effort can get you out of severe depression

To be fair those are indeed character flaws, but they're flaws that are a brief thing and flaws that don't really impact the story in any way other than sovieshu divorcing her. Aside from her calculation which doesn't count as a flaw in a political setting, most of what youve listed are like minor things and not inherent flaws, she was TRAINED to be prideful, trained to be cunning, trained to see herself as just a title. This means that in the eyes of the readers, these aren't actually flaws and there is absolutely nothing negative to her character.

genuine thoughts. Season 1 and parts 1 &2 of Season 2 are perfection. 5/5. part 3 is a pushing it 3 star read. it dragged about as long as they could possibly drag it.whixh really hurt the story as a whole. had it ended on part 2, this would be a solid 5/5 story

    Pandaberika April 17, 2026 10:06 pm

If you look at it as part 3 being the side stories, it makes a lot more sense. That's basically what it is since there was no major conflict and lots of small stories. Once I realized their fight was over and season 3 was the "happily ever after" it made it a lot more enjoyable.
