this is a very cut and dry childhood to lovers story and in an attempt to extend it and make it more...exciting (?) the author decided to bring in MR.Doppleganger. Had he looked even less like her literally deceased brother, I feel like I wouldn't have had such a huge issue with it. Instead, he's a carbon copy and it's honestly disgusting to even think about in a romantic sense. Sure our fmc doesn't even look his way, not really, but that is still a distracting portion of the plot. Had they just kept it to childhood friends to lovers with some grief and guilt spread in between, it would've been just fine.

anyone saying the mc is a Mary Sue simply needs to return to the 5th grade and pick up reading comprehension once again. the main character time and time again is SHOWN (and presented) as a brilliant, smart and enchanting woman that has been bred and raised to be an Empress. y'all couldn't appreciate a strong, intelligent and stunning woman if they kicked you in the face with her.
genuine thoughts. Season 1 and parts 1 &2 of Season 2 are perfection. 5/5. part 3 is a pushing it 3 star read. it dragged about as long as they could possibly drag it.whixh really hurt the story as a whole. had it ended on part 2, this would be a solid 5/5 story
