I have read to many damn books that my brain has gone weird. I was irritated by the wrong chapter 16 and how things are being uploaded incorrectly or maybe the story itself is just getting choppier, but I was just happy for Al getting to have nipples. Like most guys don't even get a color patch to represent a nip and our boy here got a whole defined little nip. Good for him. XD
As of chapter 22 the pacing and storytelling is really poor. I will say I am impressed with the few demonstrations of formal dress showing how the stays would be pinned in place. Also equality in how they both got nipple color dots. XD So used to the MLs losing their nipples in the war so good for him!
Seems to be a multi-layered case of regression and reincarnation so far, but with how poorly its portrayed it can be difficult to see how things are divided. Kind of how sometimes uploaders accidentally put a different stories chapter in is how the splits feel sometimes, but its all one story.
But then I remembered where we are in the story. Oof. Our poor guys.
This was so satisfying I read it all in one sitting... I can see the morning sun through the curtains... worth it. Also seeing Remi and Angel side by side was giving me The Wallflower vibes. Dark Remi moments just give such Sunako Nakahara vibes with this art style.
You know its kind of satisfying seeing him flounder after he ruined the life of the woman who loved him once and bore him a child. Mommy was an occult lady too even if not to the MCs level. Hope Grandpa isn't a wimp.
ML has just chugged a whole keg of Love and Respect my Wife juice. Love seeing it and he is working hard and doing his homework behind the scenes.
I feel sorry for that crummy painters wife cause I can only assume she is the source of all the fresh red paint he used. She took care of his ass even when he was failing as an artist, kept them housed and fed and that crazed ass murdered her. Glad those villagers took him out.
If you didn't get it officially confirmed as children then did it really mean anything? Like you didn't intervene to help her when her family collapsed and she was being abused by her aunt, uncle, and cousin. Like you are but a spoiled child who only remembers a toy once someone else discovers it years later.
Almost dropped my phone at the level of ick I got from the 3rd prince getting all hornt over Mc getting mauled by that dog. Like wtf. Also the brother not doing his best to throw off the bitch cousin to try to save his sister when he keeps trying to say he cares is disappointing even though I know its being done to promote the ML.
So the king is an absolute nightmare overcome by generational greed, but for a story about caring I am surprised they essentially left an elderly man stripped of his memories, family, and livelihood to the streets. Like at that point just kill him. He won't know what he did wrong to end up in such a position, and will have no skills or connections to survive he becomes a burden to other people.
Just another aspect of this story that doesn't freaking work.
What the hell is up with her dress in this latest Ball chapter? Disconnected sleeves, bows disappearing and reappearing, bows attached to nothing but skin, hip bow swapping sides. This was already pretty damned mid, but when the art keeps getting wonkier it makes me not want to deal with it.
You get out of the brothel life, but can't be bothered to help uplift your fellow women? At least make sure there are laws so they get paid properly and can choose their own clients. Give them access to education and help put laws into place for their rights! Wtf? Also as a member of the judiciary court of that country I would not feel safe with a dipshit prince running things.
I went in knowing this was going to be a mess, but it truly was. Especially weak in the story which is a shame there was interesting points about the characters backstories that in a normal josei could have been expanded upon. But even for a brothel related story I have read better.
