This definitely has some horror aspects. Slimes just out here taking over fresh corpses. Thank goodness they aren't all aware of how to do it since the few that do immediately went and found a corpse to inhabit. Berger could have ruled the world through slime possessions if only he had known during his villain period.
That the "mistress" who was actually just a girl whose entire community was murdered by the rogue alchemists and "saved" by the duke ended up being corrupted and brainwashed and never got the chance to be free.
