I can tell the artist draws really well. Designs are great, bg is consistent, angles looks 3d. But I'm afraid action isn't their forte. I find a lot of scenes lacking. There's no tension at all. I can't get hyped on any fight scenes and this is an action bl.
I thought it's a hidden gem, but I guess not
I've read the novel multiple times so I only see the manhwa as an eye candy. So I honestly can't see why others complain bout the adaptation?
As a novel reader, Zhenya isn't actually talkative in his pov. His expressions and thoughts are narrated. So it makes sense that it's easy to overlook his expressions, since the narrator in the adaptation is the image itself.
So yes Im still gonna gloat that Han-nim is doing a great job adapting the novel. Sometimes you just have to FEEL it. Words are for novels and image are for manhwa.
If you're the type who needs words for confirmation, then please read the novel(you also get to finish the whole story by the time the next chapter even arrive). However if you're a visual reader, then look closely at the subtle expressions. Han-nim's team is actually focusing on it more. There's also the color tones and just the overall vibes. It's not a panel you should just scroll down in 0.1 sec. This is a quality adaptation I tell you. I can tell it's professionally made with the storyboarding
Also let me add this. Adaptation is best read when DONE. So reading only per update won't really help you piece the story properly. Wc is why season 1 is goated, cause everybody was able to read the plot seamlessly. Meanwhile ongoing arcs like this one will just confuse you. If you try to reread everything again when the arc is done you'll see the difference.
Tldr: trust the process
I’ve always thought of the manhwa as supplementary to the novels, not a replacement for them.
Yes it’s exciting to see the characters come to life so to speak, and granted there are more detailed adaptations of other novels out there, and there has been some scenes that have been lacking in this adaptation, but overall nobody can get the full experience unless they read the novels.
The world would be at peace if we kick Reo out. I never saw his appeal. Atleast the officemate guy is a lil funny. Reo is just a bird brain
I wouldn't quite mind Reo and his bird brain if he didn't fucking rape Kuzuya. I don't care that he "didn't understand" it was rape, that he's clueless etc etc, that chapter where it happens is the only traumatising part of this manga. Like, there are times I giggle at shit he does until I remember that
Hot take, I don't mind the rapey trope for plot device, but Reo is an insufferable shi- brotha can't ever take a hint. Despite being told ALAT of times that what he did was wrong he still takes his chances. Like blud ain't cute acting innocent for his actions. Don't touch my Kuzuya, u dont deserv itt. They should've kept the plot where his dick was literally cutoff. Sorry just ranting bout my passionate hate for him, u can just ignore me
┗( T﹏T )┛
Yokoshima for example being a rapist didn't face me because he's portrayed as pathetic, it's fun to make fun of him, and there was arguable dub con, but Reo...
Vol. 1 ch. 6 is where he GRAPHICALLY rapes Kuzuya. I know it's Harada but considering that's literally the only truly disgusting part of this 8 VOLUME MANGA is too much, man.
Also it's fine, I hate him too but we both hate him for different reasons lol

They'll fuck on the boat arc, based on the pacing that might be few months in...in anycase I kept being baited with the edging thinking maybe artist will just let them do it now lolololol
Is it consensual?
It's as dubious as the smuts(edging) we had so far. But technically it's not, so you can just enjoy it ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
No they don’t? As far as I remember nothing happened at the cruise ship tho? .

The first time was drugging at it happened in the Ilhyun’s house
Yeah not exactly AT the ship but the arc. It's pretty much the next scene, same chapter (chapter 39). The cruise ship is just my landmark for the event since it's the turning point ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
