I read few chapters of this manga in 2019 and I didn’t like it and today I decided to pick it up again. I’m having a hard time rn I’ve read 22 chapters and it’s not getting better. It’s called classic and has such a high rating but if even first 20 chapters are trash idk what to say. Let’s see if my opinion will change
No it’s horrible by today’s standards. I applauded you for trying, I encourage you to push through and realize that within the last decade this was considered peak and how far we’ve come. Theres BL now with both smut AND actual romance. I feel like same sex relationships were so mischaracterized back in the day, that “I like you enough to have sex despite being the same gender” was like, some weird deus ex machina to gloss over the non consensual aspect and quickly explain that that in isn’t self was enough of a struggle to show each other they were in love? and we all definitely accepted it in fiction. There’s definitely allure to asami, and some tension in his back and forth with takaba, but while I still hold this as a classic in my heart it’s absolute poor writing kinda all around.
I say this is shit but curiosity gets the better of me and I come back to check the new chapter lmao. Also, there’s no concept of HIV or any STDs in this manhwa just raw fucking lmao
All other routes except kaede seems forced maybe not not so much natsushi but even then kaede has the most chemistry

Before reading the DMIYC series. I hater Grayson miller so much. I read the KMIYC novel as well and I wrote so many hate comments about Grayson here and on other websites as well.
