The romance plot is terrible. Poor pacing, not compelling at all. BUT the corruption plot is genuinely done so well. I actually kinda wish it was the whole plot. Forget the smut and romance, I wish the author had just committed to a resurrection drama. No romance, just straight plot about this case because it's actually very good. I think this manhwa would have benefited from being a different genre. Or even just a slow burn instead of smut. The tomance bits don't work and seem so lacking compared to the actual story plot.
Could I get some novel spoilers bc this is stressful anf I need to know If I have it in me to keep reading. Just tell me what happens plz I beg
Spoiler to very end
Jun eventually distances himself from Yohan. He stops attending school regularly and only returns for graduation. Yohan repeatedly tries to approach him, but Jun rejects him and even runs away from him.
* After graduation, Jun leaves to stay with his parents overseas before starting university, hoping to put distance between himself and Yohan.
* Despite that, fate brings them back together when they end up living near each other again as university students. At first, Jun wants nothing to do with Yohan.
* Later, another major incident occurs: Kim Minho throws acid at Jun, but Yohan jumps in front of him and takes the injuries instead. Jun stays with Yohan during his hospitalization, and this begins to soften his feelings—not because he forgets the past, but because he finally sees Yohan’s vulnerability and troubled family situation.
* From there, their relationship slowly develops through the university side stories. Yohan apologizes in his own awkward way, Jun gradually lowers his guard, and they eventually become a couple, although many readers still view their relationship as emotionally complicated and unhealthy
