that's not entirely true, romance is in the tag and it's there for a reason. Obviously we can't trust everything we see because the protagonist's POV isn't always reliable (due to the obvious circumstances) but it is a slow-burn romance story, it's just that it's not at the forefront of it due to the genre and other facets of the world are more important at the moment. Fear not though for those who keep hearing it's no romance, there is yet salvation ;)
Ok that's super interesting
I'm very invested in this now but to be fair a lot of the plot seems like lazy writing- especially the part about the father irrationally hating his daughter and going to such lengths to torture her. The entire premise of the story is based on it but it's the same old bad father trope that manhwas like so much without really delving into the complexity of it or exploring other sources of conflict. The MCs suffering based solely on this poorly devised plot point is sometimes unbearably maddening.
