The real princess died bc of illness and her body got possessed by a witch that was in love with Theo’s greatx3-5 father in the past, but that grandfather fell in love with perishati ancestor.
She is also the one that placed the curse on the duke’s family, that’s why she hates perishati and wants Theo because they look like their ancestors respectively.
