this term gets watered down alot but i just want to say it, this is genuinely a good deconstruction of the villainess isekai manwha trope .
the villainess aiming to die instead of trying to avoid her death unlike all the other villainess, her the ‘love interests’ being rightfully criticized but still portrayed as extremely flawed individuals without making them overly evil or overly sympathetic (and also subverting the fact her actual love interest is just a simple knight instead of the most powerful guy in the harem), the og fl actually having a firm character development, heavy topics like depression/suicidal ideation being tackled in a okayish manner…..
honestly im probably missing alot more of what this manwha subverts (which makes i wish thered be a youtuber to analyze or review this series). but yeah this was such a good deconstruction of this trope. and also, amazing art!! and im so glad it didnt go on longer than necessary, it had a clear story to tell and was able to reach till the end
ok after finishing, this definently should be more appraised as one of the best and unique isekai villainess manwhas there is. but unfortunately theres flaws this series suffered from which bothered me from reading. its how underdeveloped the villains are (aka the OG male leads), and to an extent some its pacing. i will give praise is how the series did not once frame them as potential love interests for eris, but actual antagonists . i just wished their growing obsession with eris was fleshed out more?
i mean im glad this series didnt drag imo, but the three og love interests banding together to forcibly keep her alive at the climax bc they grew extremely obsessed with her felt... out of the blue? like yeah u can feel them growing infatuated, but not to point that i would think they discard their entire morals for her? idk it feels like it couldve been done better to show this? like the writing isnt the problem imo, just the pacing of it ..
but yeah, i really wished the series did a more better job at its pacing bc everything else, the characters, eris, anakhin, helena and everyone else? AMAZING. the love interest? THE GREENEST OF FLAGS (god we need to bring him up everytime theres a conversation of best male leads on manwhas) the art? WONDERFUL, the overall plot? INCREDIBLE the consistent gloomy/tragic/bleak themes and paralells throughout? MAGNIFICENT. and despite how tragic it all is, there was still a happy ending for the people that deserved it... ive read so much of the villainess genre and this genuinely is a one of a kind, like an actual story was trying to be told unlike alot of manwhas where you dont really know where theyre exactly going with the plot.
this wouldve been a 10/10 story for me if, again, alot of its pacing was done better, and the male lead antagonists were fleshed out better. but i defs recommend it to any manwha readers who wants smth new with this genre

im ngl the best part of the epilogue was og edith and rhyse's ending. extremely bittersweet but atleast they found comfort with one another in their deaths, not their love interests but through a sisterhood (or yuri, im okay with either)
