I’m sure this won’t strain the sociopath mother-and-daughter relationship much more than what’s coming for Yeonwu lol.
I can’t help but notice that the stairs as the setting is also a deliberate choice by the author. It’s there in Rosa’s “do you love me” dream in Chapter 1, their first reunion after years, when Yeonwu got drugged up and mistook Rosa for her mom, and Rosa’s proposal to Yeonwu to either get his revenge from her mom or her.
Mommy knows obviously. One of the staff is already talking and you can’t tell me there’s no security cameras installed when she has bodyguards tailing her due to her shady businesses. A surprise day off from a cold missus and a young husband-to-be quickly after the mom boarded the plane is already a juicy staple for the house’s staffs. I don’t see both Rosa and Yeonwu treating this as a serious affair yet and the mom is letting them off easy. We’ll see how this mess plays out.
This reminds me so much of Inuyasha. The mc’s insecurities are written so disgustingly good and even his design looks contrastingly poetic to his faults. He’s beautiful. This love-hate dynamic with a lost lover is my timeless classic. The ml pushes just the right buttons and his persistence hinges on the mc’s stubbornness to punish himself for what he’s lost. Choosing to love a person so mentally broken in your every waking moment makes bringing Seoho back the easy fucking choice— and the ml chose the mc when he was pulling away again. “Let me be your eternity” fits just right. Ugh the smut in this bl is never just fucking flesh.

Which was why the evil god mistook Sehwa for Sae-ah but later gave up killing her for revenge since Sehwa’s soul never ascended in the first place- she remained in the sea as a water ghost/spirit. This also alludes to the fact that the ml and the century dragon both own a part of the sea (because Sehwa yielded a portion of the sea and the elixir in exchange for the ml’s safety from the evil god). Lastly, Sehwa is also the one who guided the fl’s body to the God’s island. I’m glad the fl stopped her from sacrificing any further in the end because she’s such a sweetheart. Overall 8.5/10

Shows Yeonwu is game to Rosa’s harmless ‘prank’. He agreed to it the moment he meddled between Jaewon and Rosa. Rosa of course caught on to it but ig she didn’t expect that quick of a response. Well at present, Yeonwu and Rosa are playing enemies that are dying to get in each other’s pants. They’re even using the mom for NTR roleplay. Rosa also says she prefers Yeonwu sober for whatever’s coming. My girl laid out the plan and Yeonwu bit every bait willingly- from finding Rosa to “What (masochistic bs) should I do so I can get back the ring?” and people- he’s RARING TO GO. This is a first in anything resembling to consent (akin to CNC) for the two after battling their freaks after 20+ chapters. Yeonwu’s more or less accepted his toxic crush while Rosa is still deluding herself as Yeonwu’s no.1 hater. Eh she’ll stop villainizing Yeonwu when her memories come back so.
I genuinely don’t see what’s lacking. Pacing and characterization are both fine in my alley. They’ll fuck soon dw you’ll be shock with what an empty mansion can do + wtf is this who’s the better ml propaganda… Jaewon has the right to be freaked out. Doesn’t mean it’s a forced flaw by the author.
