Omgg I thought that too in my first read but I realized remilia loves emu in a family soulmate type of way and that angel genuinely loving the perfect version of remilia as just remilia resonated with her as she’s trying to live out that version in earnest. Which led to her, in the only time of the entire manga, hav genuine affection towards someone as remilia and not the perfect version (づ￣ ³￣)づ
How time flies by, if I didn't bookmark it, I wouldn't believe I started this story so long ago yet it still remained super duper clear in my mind. I'm happy they finally got their happy ending !
