I have hated amnesia plot lines since I started reading. I don't like them in movies or books or any media I consume. Pretty much always end up dropping whatever it is because I just despise them so much. Well, love really does conquer all. I care about mc way more than I should, theres no way I can drop this- I need to see his happy ending. I swear its going to fix something in me to see him living happy and healthy with his ml.
I'm curious, what makes them hate you so much that you hate them so unilaterally? It's one of my favourite tropes, but I know it's pretty popular to hate. And even though I love the trope, I definitely don't always enjoy it, if it's habdled badly.

Most of my ill feelings comes from how popular it used to be, in nearly every book or fic or movie I took part jn, the part would come where someone would wake up not knowing who they or the people around them and it would be this entire arc of what I just personally deemed pointless. If it happened in a show I was watching all the cool stuff I was waiting to see got put on hold bc the mc was basically back at the beginning.

I guess looking back maybe I was consuming poor examples of the trope, but I still have little interest to engage with it.

I read this before and I kept thinking somethings missing but whatever it was wouldn't come to me. That huge break in upload and now here I am deciding to re-read it and its communication!! How did I turn my brain off twice for this! These two are professional avoidant types who have bulldozed their way to a pseudo marriage end-game setting. I for actually sat here like what are they missing? Somethings wrong! And then it hit me when freaking Sa-yan ‘died’ and I was about to cry (as if) because Illic never got to tell him how he really felt!!
So from the comments I don't think this is the one for me. On the scale of toxic this didn’t seem that high but some of the spoilers are showing me that it has everything that gets under my skin.
Hoping to one day find a good ass bl where authors actually develop their characters through consequences and realistic actions rather than a set of smooth brained penguins whose only solution to their mental, physical, and emotional afflictions are bumping uglies and conveniently forgetting the rainbow of abuse they have either just gone through or put someone else through.
Damn, u right but I just personaly try to change the facts in my mind to cope with level of toxicity in most of manhwas (this is just sad lol)

The Author of ‘Golden Sparkle’ is not toxic but the characters communicate with actual thought behind their words. Sweet stories if you haven’t read and aren’t looking for solely red flags, these are good.
The Author of ‘A thousand cranes’ writes interesting and pretty fleshed out characters. Found out recently there are novels so Ill be reading those soon as I find them.
The Author of ‘Blossoms of the white night’ which you might have read but if you haven’t check it out. Everyones pretty obsessed right now. Age could make you uncomfortable so warning there! But most of the other works Ive read by this author have been amazing (theres like two I haven't gotten to.)
‘Wish you all the best’ it’s finished but I just started and the arts kind of rough but I was coincidentally recommended it literally two seconds ago so figured Id share. Ive been warned it’s a rough ride, just in case lower your expectations.
Tbh there are some other titles that come to mind like ‘Speak of The Devil’ or even ‘Sadistic Beauty bl side story’ (two sides of the same spectrum with one being strictly non-violent and the other hell) that do fit the criteria but theres things about each that make me not want to recommend them. Theres points of mental satisfaction due to acknowledgment of bad behaviour only to walk away with a broken heart because it didn't matter in the end!
Not sure if these fit all of what Im saying. May have lost the plot.
Hopefully you haven’t read all of these! I tried to chose mostly the more obscure things Ive read, theres plenty of reviews on the super popular ones out there. Also picked out manwha, manga and manhuas for some diversity.

Jun is not forgetting the abuse, basically the story is the same as the novel, but manhwa artist messed it up by drawing chibi and cute panels, the last two chapters are actually jun pretending to be friendly to yohan, reading the novel it should've felt like he's walking on egg shells, the atmosphere should be dark, he did laugh here and there but still it wasn't supposed to be bright and flowery like how the manhwa artist drew him
Ooh yes yes!! Good characters can stop u with even a bad story if their motivations seems intresting!! Hmm if i had to choose a genre, Im in love with psychological horror/slice of life mixed with big chunks of comedy (the more absurd, the better). When it comes to characters i like them smart or emotionally intelligent (this way we are saving, like, 30 chapters at least lol).
I noticed im weak to this trophy of reincarnating mc to another world keeping all their memories, and them using their knowledge in disadvantageous situatuon.. just where did i get it from

Okay but now that ive got an excuse- I think everything On my list would be great for u EXECPT Let Dai. Its a really touchy, dreamy, and so much heavy one, but at the same time start of main couple is just absurd. It starts w rape, and everyone just forgot about this.. but im there for the second couple and doing olimpic gymnastic jumps for first one.
If u like angst, I could recommend to u MADK. Its rlly toxic, but author shows them in bad light from the start. Action is taking place in demon realm and for how short this one is, worldbuilding is insane here. Story is just sad, but I dont want to say anymore if u decide to give it a try.
