What could the grandfather possibly have said to Haebom for him to leave everything behind? Blackmail? Are we forgetting the Haebom's growth and persistence when faced with his adoptive mother threatening to break their relationship when she first found out about it?
Haebom stood resolute throughout all that, same with Taesung's father offering money to Haebom to leave his son, Haebom turned him down and fought for their relationship. What could a senile, close to death old man say for all that progress to crumble down and end up leaving his friends, parents, business, and Taesung behind??? This season is so unnecessary and its being milked, prove me otherwise.
To those who incessantly bemoan the perceived stagnation of the narrative, I must ask: Why is it that you're unable to appreciate the richness provided by the side characters? They are, without a doubt, among the most compelling elements of this story. If you grow weary because of the extended focus on these characters, perhaps it's time to reconsider your capacity for nuanced storytelling. Y'all need to sybaus' they aren't even related and don't even rebutt me with "but they grew up together" so what if they did? They didn't even see each other as siblings except for A but even he quickly got over it, so why shouldn't you? And besides, Chinese danmei's popular tropes are things like sworn brothers or sort of siblings but not really. If it doesn't cater to you because of moral sh*t and "it's not right bla blah blah" then that's fine. But stop whining all the time. I actually like their story alot since I read their type of genre All the time. What kind of blanc white chicken stories do you all read if you can't even handle a little "sort of incest but not really" have some spice for once, have some flavor once in awhile.
