I think he’s trying to manipulate mc little by like give him the choice that’s not truly a choice, to make mc feel a little more freedom. And make MC learn that if he wanted something he should give something in return.

Normally people would say you have no right to monitor me in the first place so you should remove it even if I’m not asking.

But ML wait until MC give up that idea, then put the new idea, if I gave him a kiss he will remove it for me, if I refuse I’m gonna regret it. (And maybe put a blame to himself)
And to make the 1st step of the plan perfect, the things MC have to sacrifice should not be burden and MC can make a easy quick decision like “it’s just a kiss vs my freedom”.

You guys are team MC vs ML but honestly I just cant side with anyone because the story itself is childish. Idek if the author had any experience in relationships tbh. Before you guys come at me this is a short story it’s just 9 chapters so the next chapter is the ending.
I already read it, i know what agenda the author is pushing lmao. So I told you, don’t have high hopes for MC, ML or even the story itself.

Actually you can see they’re together for 20 years only become lovers for 1 years and they act like they don’t know each other at all, I say it for both MC and ML. ML reason for acting nonchalant is also hilarious.

Read this for the first time, now I understand why people who reread it don’t think the story is as good as it was.

The author try to convince us that Adam thinks he’s the one in upper hand but in reality he is the one who fall in love with louri (he just try to avoiding it) so the one who are made to dance in red shoes was him all along. That’s why the ending was peaceful because she think “Adam doesn’t need redemption arc because he realized his true feelings and Louri knows what he’s doing, the only one who doesn’t know is Adam”


But of course when you re-read this when you grown up, you have much more experience in your life, you won’t agree with this. Louri is the one who was gaslighted and the victim of exploitation . So of course Adam is the one in the wrong and deserves punishment. He may realize your feelings or you may not but the fact that Adam made Louri suffer doesn’t change. That’s why the ending is not satisfying.

ML’s family is somewhat well known right? And the content of the clip is ML being a whore before and now he’s changed and maybe seeing someone from the lighting team. And that’s it. he was called before he could reply. And that guy needed to record the practice afterwards so the content would not be more than that.

The call clearly has to do something with the video. The post was deleted when ML was with MC so it has to be someone else. I think it’s come from his family, like it’s ruined the family reputation so his family order to delete it and called/message ML to give them an explanation.

In the novel it truly changes my perspective of them.
Yeah from hating ML to cant hate 2 of them, because both are stubborn enough to make me laugh. The miscommunication, misunderstanding still plays a big part in chasing arc mind you.

They changed the details from novel. Before this arc it’s just a minor detail. But this time it seems to be more different? Like the time line isn’t match and the drunk at bar scene is like uhm a little OOC?

In the novel, The scene in manhwa (MC visits victim’s family) appeared before this arc, and in this arc the victim’s father reach out to MC to apologize (about this scene) and thank him BUT the victim’s father mysteriously died later. Yes he died while ML was hospitalized, and MC is the one who organized his funeral so he doesn’t have time to visit ML at the hospital. He’s BUSY, He’s NOT going to the bar.

And I don’t remember MC drinking by himself at the bar after he knows his heat is becoming unstable. When his mood went down he just talk to his brother or ML.

And after this MC heat will come but again it will happened when he’s on the mission.
I dont remember he let his guard down other than the breakfast ML drugged him, then he never let his guard down again. He always takes the pills (heat inhibitors) with him.

Guys in the novel it’s similar but it’s more detailed. For example, what’s he mean by “it’s reflect poorly on me as well” has the same meaning but the novel have detailed such as

MC is well aware he is down bad for ML and he thinks it’s one-sided, but I don’t think ML realized yet. From how he hesitated to speak about their relationship with the friend, it’s showing he’s still “unsure” about their relationship. Like it’s not just fun and play but he never thought about it seriously?

While I love reading chasing arc, I hope this manhwa won’t turn into one. It’s has the good material like both of the characters backgrounds and obstacles, the way they are passionate about their careers and how they healing each other from struggles too.

Like it’s good without the typical cliche “misunderstanding/too late to realize/ fall first vs fall harder” trope. But if the author decides to choose that path I would still love it anyway.
