The author will definitely give a tragic backstory where he has had his heartbroken or whatever BUT IRL if you meet anyone like this run. They will either waste your time and you will be hurt or they are actually players who are kinda manipulating you into staying with them by using “oh I am such a bad guy, you deserve better” trust their words and find someone better.

Ok eunyoung is always highly suspicious and gets anxious but that's why he catches signs so fast. This does mean he sometimes pics up false flags and can harm good relationships but right now Haejoon needs to get away from his dad. Eunyoung wants the best for him.
