Plus she lived for quite a while with her parents embodying the life of what she us right now, a character she chose to function sanely after being brought to that world.
So i read this with her job as annadditional strength, and not her whole personality. Like be fr, lawyers and the likes may win left and right but have different actual off time personalities. PLUS I LOVE HER LIKE THIS GODDAMNIT

This is such a gem that I missed out on. Tho I understand that adults also have their own circumstances that led to this decisions, I also feel very sad that Maki had to grow up earlier than he should by understanding those circumstances.
