So someone posted in tiktok that the pronounciation of yaoi is (ya-oy).... All my life i've been pronouncing yaoi as (ya-wee)..... Can somebody tell how to truly pronounce yaoiii, i am confusedddd
A pronounce that ya-oee but each time I heard native Japanese speaker, they're saying "ya-oy" so I guess that's the true pronunciation

Funny enough, the only Japanese speakers that I heard pronouncing that word didn't pronounced it like that... But I supposed you can say the end of the word both "o - i" and "oy". Actually, it's the same fore the word "Koi" (love) which you can pronounce "Koy" and "K - o - i"
