Chinese dramas js love to include anything that is seemingly immoral but really aren’t too violent so lots of law breaking nd the like. Korean dramas love violence, abuse, and torture for some reason. American dramas are try hards that are always a step behind the trends nd always seem pretty unrealistic and idealistic. Hispanic dramas or telenovela love family drama between sisters and in laws when in comes to romantic relationships’ trials. Japanese dramas love slow burn, almost never anything too sensual is ever included. Indian dramas love wife swapping. Arab dramas love their mean girls and social hierarchies within youth. And honestly I havent watched much others but plenty of European dramas have a really vintage or cafe romance vibe. (Ps I don’t know shit abt film js love dramas (づ￣ ³￣)づ)
I understand how she feels and I also understand that she knows that her frustration is somewhat hypocritical when she knew it would happen, but the way she speaks abt her family it seems she blames those very ppl for being cursed as if it’s their fault. The whole idea of blaming ppl who are cursed with smth they didn’t choose is already so fucking annoying to me. But she also holds like no love or care for the children she herself birthed. She pushed her fucking youngest that she never got to properly meet then she gives the cold shoulder to her eldest who missed her so so much. First off she also knows that they lose the ability to feel things properly slowly overtime, so she knows her kids both can in fact still feel emotion even though they seem a bit cold. Also like I wanna talk abt how fucked up she is bc kids can in fact and literally do act too mature or cold for their age all the time. Literally completely disregarding the fact that they’re cursed both boys already have pretty significant trauma like their mom dying or the fact that everyone else in their family is cold as well. The youngest is LITERALLY non-verbal and only recently got his body back and nearly died at birth. Real kids are just like that, and as their mother she should love them despite their struggles to express themselves. So yes I fucking hate astrid.
