That's not all what happened in Nano Machine. I think you misunderstood the whole incident. ML didn't want to have intercourse with the ice girl, however, in order to save her life the doctor said she needed an injection of male energy via p-to-v insertion, which was the fastest and most guaranteed way to save her. He even got the go ahead from the father, brother, and his would-be girlfriend before he decided to go through with the action. Nano even stopped the flow of sperm from entering her to negate any chance of her getting pregnant. So, no, he didn't have sex with her for funsies; it was a medical need.

The Cheon family started having multiple spouses, because the one previous Demon Lord was killed leaving only a daughter behind and she was forced to marry multiple men from each of the main families to maintain power. And that tradition was passed down no matter if you're male or female. When it came to ML's father what he did was take a wife from outside the main families, which was taboo. It is also the reason why the MC was treated bad, since he was basically the child of a lowly concubine. And the MC's father thought he was protecting his "real wife" and child by distancing himself from them. As for MC, so far, in the storyline he only has 1 girlfriend/potential wife; novel readers know that will change, but currently he hasn't strayed from her.

Ohhh please it’s bullshit the nano Machine is CLEARLY advance and can do things and recover lost techniques that others can’t. If the MC of this story (Nanos ancestors) could clear the blockage without having to sleep withe her he could too it was just a setup for a harem thats it thats all.

No it's not. Nano can only work within MC and can't work on other people. It's not until much later in the story that readers learn that many of Nano's functions were inactive/deactivated due to restrictions. It's not MC's ancestors -- it was his descendant that went back in time to place the nanobots within the MC. Pedantic, I know. Anyway, Nano is an amalgamation of human knowledge; it can't derive a solution that was lost in time from nothing (no written solutions) since those who were conflicted with the Cold Qi disease died. You can't divide by zero!!

While the scene seemed superfluous, if you read a lot of cultivation/murim stories, (like I do), and even some modern Chinese manhua, you'll see Cold Qi disease pop-up and the cure is usually injection of Yang (Male) energy to calm the rampant Yin (female) energy in the body. And because he saved the daughter of one the strongest martial artists on the continent MC was able to gain a strong ally.

If you dropped because of the potential harem -- it's fine that's your prerogative. I've dropped harem manga too. But, to me, this isn't the setup for a harem seeing how MC was vehemently against the action until he was begged by her family and given the approval to save her life from his would-be girlfriend/lover. It was setup to gain a strong ally and help achieve a higher cultivation level. Novel Spoiler: Additionally, this really isn't a true harem as MC only has 2 wives: his lover and cold girl. Usually harems are 3 or more wives.

I honestly see it as rape no matter,the author could've gone about it other ways.Ive seen plenty who made it so they didn't have intercourse. Actually, nano machine is the only one i ve seen with intercourse with a sleeping person

I understand. I would see it as rape too, since the daughter was in no position to consent to the p-to-v insertion of yang energy/chi. She may have chosen to end her life with the disease. But therein lies the thin line: MC only did it to save her life and only after getting consent from her family who knew what method was going to be used. And since the daughter was unable to make the decision -- it was a medical decision made on her behalf in the hopes that it would cure/stabilize her yin energy. A very thin line.

But I do agree that the author could have used a different non-sexual way to alleviate that character's cold symptoms. Something as simple as condensing his energy in a ball (kinda like Naruto) and shoving it down her throat. But, alas, neither of us was consulted.

People wouldn't have reacted the same if the mc was an ugly old man who did this no matter the reason.

Which reaction?? I've seen people state they dropped it, moved it down on their have-to-read-updates, and people who understood what happened but didn't like the action (me!!), and people who just shrugged and moved on.

I think for a lot of females, I'm one too, the issue of consent was the biggest problem. If the author had just woken her up/given her sanity for two minutes to give her consent, much of the outrage would have been nullified. Still there; but not as severe. Others just didn't like the potential of a harem starting.

I appreciate the pushback from the readers against rape in their stories. And I don't think it's just because he wasn't an Ugly Bastard (Porn term) and a good-looking guy, I've seen pushback on rape from all works no matter how good-looking or rich the character is. Readers are expecting more from authors and are demanding authors to stop using rape as a plot device to further a relationship without thinking about the mental grief it causes.

Ahhh...yeah, I straddle the line with this one. While I don't condone it, as I'm sure the author could have used a different method for the ice girl to get the energy she needed to survive. And MC to gain a powerful ally, I do understand it was a medical need and not a sexual need. BUT...also, I do understand that this can be seen as rape since the woman was without conscious to give her consent.
