I bet mentally he's still a child looking for the guidance of an adult. If only someone could solve his moral conundrum for him and put his mother to justice for him. First, defending Heeso doesn't mean that we can't condemn him for everything he has done wrong.
In my case, I am not defending Heeso only because I found out that his mother got murdered so by empathy I find excuses to justify everything he done wrong.


No... That's not the case. I prefer making my statement clear before someone who's reading my comment make assumptions about why I am defending Heeso.

We need to take a bigger picture before jumping at each other throats. Yes... Taekyung have problems that he grew up with without solving anything. Yes Heeso is a manipulative rapist. Yes what Heeso did to Taekyung is unforgivable and shouldn't be taken lightly.
This is something that EVERYONE can't refute or develop any further because it is what it is. We are all agreeing to this fact so we can move on from this. No need to add furthermore.

What I want to highlight for people who criticized Heeso defender is that you only see this side of the picture thus you failed to look at the bigger picture.
Heeso met Taekyung when he was still a minor. Even if he like it or not , Taekyung influenced a lot (indirectly or directly) how Heeso grew up as an adult.


This is not for nothing that the manwha is called a tree without roots. Heeso didn't have any roots. The only thing that he could take roots or take as a model is the sponsor that always gives him the impression/hope that someone was giving him a little bit of affection that is to say Taekyung.

Taekyung influence a lot how Heeso turn out to be as an adult because he was the only adult that has taken care of him. He was the only one who Heeso could plant his roots on.
The way Taekyung handled Heeso is also a part of the reason why, how Heeso turns out to be as an adult.

Taekyung always did everything halfway. Yes he has trauma but he was taking care of a minor by himself which also has trauma by the way. He chooses to do it... To take care of an unstable minor... Heeso. Taekyung was the ADULT at that time.
Because he always let it slide Heeso has take a lot from him.
We have to bear in mind that an interaction is an ACTION done by TWO people. The situation between Heeso and Taekyung was a result of them BOTH. Just a reminder... What Heeso did was unforgivable and not justified. Being a manipulative rapist is not fine.

What I mean is Taekyung was also a huge factor of how Heeso turned out to be as an adult because we can see that he was the sponsor of Heeso when he was still a child.

Both of them have TRAUMA which lead them to this situation.
They both didn't have roots and damage a lot of things in their life.

If everything is collapsing it's because both of them have made choices in their life which have lead them to this moment.
They both doesn't have control of their life. They're both controlled by their fear of abandonment, their emotions so they fail everything.

The way the adult Taekyung handled the minor Heeso was wrong from the start. The way Taekyung approach Heeso with half assed feelings were not right from the start and not fair for an orphan kid who only wanted affection.
Taekyung always handled everything halfway that's why everything around him now is collapsing.


Taekyung is not ONLY a victim.

The point is that Heeseo is a rapist and an attempted murderer. He’s not any better than Heeseo's mother. He does not deserve any compassion.

Also Heeseo only came in contact with ML when he was almost an adult I believe. Before that he just donated his money from the kindness of his heart. He never wanted to raise ML and that is not his responsibility in the slightest.

I choose to find compassion for Heeso but it doesn't mean that what he did is not wrong. He should be in jail for attempted murder and also rape.
If you can't have any compassion for him it's entirely valid.
But as I wrote in my previous reply, I feel that your insensitivity for Heeso is putting you in a place where you can't see the bigger picture thus you can't understand the different layer of the story because you're not being objective.

You don't see the responsibility Taekyung had for Heeso as an orphan. You ONLY see Taekyung as a victim. Yes Taekyung is a victim but he's not ONLY a victim.

It became his responsibility when he run after Heeso and literally save him from killing himself. He choose to take the boy in his house AGAIN.
Yes Heeso was in his last year of High school but he was still a minor when Taekyung mets him. Just a reminder that Heeso was also an orphan so he didn't even have a proper adult figure around him. Taekyung was the only "proper" adult figure he mets in his life. So Heeso could easily be influence by an cunning and scheming adult.

Heeso was unstable from the beginning. Taekyung is a prosecutor and was an orphan. I am sure that he knows how generally speaking not having parents affect someone. Taekyung still choose to be Heeso's shelter so as the adult in their relationship because Taekyung would always be the adult in their relationship he should have known better that taking in someone like Heeso was not a piece of cake.
Heeso always have shown a manipulative, cunning or scheming trait of him even before meeting Taekyung. In high school he always stand on the edge of the rooftop of his school.
It was only a scheme to see Taekyung. This boy was already manipulative from the start. It's the way he survived and seek attention/affection.


A prosecutor like him would know better what a rapist is and how rapists are condemned. I feel bad for Taekyung but logically speaking if not for his guilt Taekyung have the expertise of a prosecutor. He is not stupid. He knows what rape is.
Also yes Heeso attempted murder but what about Taekyung who let his foster mom's crime slide ?
Didn't he not became his accomplice by not revealing the truth ? He even covered his mother by not telling the truth to Heeso when he wanted answers yet he still choose to thrown away Heeso from his house.
So Taekyung is not an accomplice of murder ?

The point that you're highlighting is unrealistic because you can't control everyone by expecting them to not have compassion for Heeso. It's also in human nature to have empathy.
If you don't feel empathy for Heeso that's totally fine but if you want people to be as insensitive as you and impose your way as you think of a valid and right feeling then I think it's a problem.
Having compassion but still wanting Heeso to pay for his crimes also exist.

In this case I wanted to say THE ONLY valid and right feeling to have for Heeso then it's a problem. Not feeling compassion for Heeso is a valid and right feeling.

I meant Tae not Heeseo. I was talking so much about Heeseo that I got them mixed up. To be fair I am horrible with names. HEESEO IS A RAPIST, TAE IS MC JUST TO BE CLEAR
