I feel like the author's trying too hard for the second half. Instead of pursuing the typical best friend/rival trope or exploring the mc's family in more depth, we get a psycho old friend just dying for that little bit of affection. I enjoyed the few chapters leading up to the finale, though, so overall it's good, but I still think the whole arc was stretched far too long, and most of it can be omitted without affecting the story too much

I don't get it. I really don't get it. That last thing Hisato said about the dream he had, it implies that Shuri is indeed his true heart? Does that mean Hisato were just completely oblivious about it this whole time?
Or is it that Hisato knows, but has been keeping it to himself because he wants Shuri to lead a normal human life and be happy?
He realized he was his heart all along. It ties in to what his friend said about how he searched and searched and when he finally stopped searching he found the boy.
But the other vampire who died does have a true heart, so it's not a myth?
I thought Shuri was not the true heart, because the glasses vampire said so. And this kind of aligns with the overall story in the earlier chapter. But then in the end Hisato said that the dream (with Shuri in it) was about his true heart. So that's why I'm confused.

That's what I'm inclined to believe, but hisato's behavior in the early chapter makes it seem like he's just completely unaware of that fact. I thought he was supposed to be able to sense it in some way
Oh gotcha. Yeah I don’t think they had like a sense for it. Just truly falling in love. Like how some people search for their “soulmate” in life thinking it’ll be some grand moment and brush off everyone around them and it makes them blind to what’s right in front of them.

He said he preferred not meeting with an ex, yet he sent wedding pics to said ex, went to ex home to stop him from getting close to another guy, and even went to ex's workplace, what for? Don't wanna lose an admirer? This guy seriously has issues.
Can anyone confirm that they're not going to continue the manga after vol 3? I read that the novel has more to the story, but I'm not really into novels, so it'd be great if they continue with the manga (=・ω・=)
