The original Chinese novel was allegedly plagiarized. 'Allegedly' bc I cannot read the original BL novel that's in Chinese but people have shown evidence that the plot points were copied. Chinese novels have a habit of recycling certain themes in "xian xia" novels however, you should make the decision yourself on whether it was plagiarism or inspiration via research. HOWEVER I do not know if the manga artist is actually aware of this precisely bc of the lax copywright laws in China & made the series into a complete blown out mega Movie-Drama production. I find it sad for the innocent such as actors & production staff be embroiled in this & get hate. I also find it funny & hypocritical for people to bash the manga when they are reading a translated manga which is hosted on a 3rd party site without permission but then again how else can we read manga amiright? XD. Nevertheless, the manga, irregardless of plot is beautifully drawn... the plot is very good so if you can read Chinese, read/buy the ORIGINAL BL here http://www.jjwxc.net/onebook.php?novelid=157075 . If you can't read Chinese or don't like BL, I think it's ok to read novel & manga, watch the drama etc...bc beyond the copied plot, a lot of people have put in their hard work such as actors & artists to bring the story to life without knowledge of the plagiarism BUT remember the original author! If you want to support them, check out their work! ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Right, the BL is a 仙侠 BOOK NOVEL in Chinese. The alleged plagiarizer turned it into his/her own Chinese NOVEL which they supposedly said they just copied the "style" or something. The Chinese MANHUA came after the novel & the drama. Is the manga artist at fault? idk it depends on whether they were aware of & believed in the controversy. My Chinese isn't good enough to verify this and there is too limited secondary English sources.
after all the plagiarizing issues, why are the original novels not properly given their credits and copyrights and the one who plagiarized got all the honors and fame through the dramas/movies/manhuas??? was she really that have sort of powerful backing that those TV networks and producers turned deaf and continued with giving credits to that fake author? ヽ(`Д´)ノ
It's because the Chinese government is really against BL and homosexuality so unfortunately the original author cannot openly get credited or claim it without fear of being outcasted. Also, intellectual property in China is practically very very lax. It's really sad and unfortunate. The franchise is becoming bigger and bigger yet the original person gets nothing.
Here's the link to the translated bl novel: https://www.google.com/url?q= https://www.novelupdates.com/series/peach-blossom-debt/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwiczZ6T9qDtAhVvThUIHSBCA0oQFjAAegQIBxAB&usg=AOvVaw1-34jym1CMebQG2FXk0dri
I have a bad feeling that Kaneki & Touka's lovestory might play out like Arata & Hikari's...The mirroring is there. Touka dies and Kaneki goes berserk with Ayato being the one to watch over their child. Hope it doesn't go down that route... ╥﹏╥
Well i just hope touka will get pregnant and give birth to healthy babies. Twins that are half ghoul and half human
Since when was Tokyo Ghoul not a 18+ manga? It has always delved into the taboo subjects. We all got to take this chapter with some maturity. If a mildly censored sex scene is too much but seeing bodies be ripped apart is ok, then perhaps skip this latest chapter or stop reading. There were hints this was going to happen. At least they did not show in detail some of the more grotesque scenes involving Mitsuki. The sex scene wasn't put it for nothing. It showed the change in their relationship, how clueless they were about sex and how they treated each other with respect the entire time. Idk it screams "love" to me.
This is seriously the most I've seen Rai talking in a chapter ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
