I put that energy in both cause they're both stupid lmao. mc himself realizes there's problem with his behavior but can't grow a backbone to save a life. sure ml's personality is terrible af and he creates all these situations to put the mc in the tight spot i completely agree, but mc still riding his dick and falling for his traps, despite knowing there's smth wrong and he shouldn't do that gets me. anytime he does try to stand up for himself ML basically manipulates the situations to get what he wants out of MC. ML gave a job to him to keep him close.
