The Man in the Mirror
Ascendance of a Bookworm
This is the most detailed storie that take full advantage of the person who has reincarnated into another world that I have read yet and I have read a lot the last few years. There are different kinds of food and the way people act and treat each other are different from what the main character is used to. Since she is from Japan the way she acts is very odd in this western inspired world and I love it. Her family is also lower class in a society that has a very hard line between the nobles and the lower class, so our main character is going through extreme cultural shock and she expects certain things that would be normal for her, but is not in this world, which is why I think so many people think she is selfish even though she is asking for basic things like cleanliness and education. It doesn't help that she is sick with a disease that no one understands, so she is held back not only by society, but her own body. It creates a very interesting dynamic of her trying to adjust to this knew world and rules while also working on achieving her greatest desire which is to read books. I love the story, the world, and characters. The story continues after this one and I look forward to seeing where our main character ends up.
