this isn’t boring at all - it’s just rather complex. in order to fully enjoy it, you’ve really got to lock in and actually pay attention to even the most minor details. the extra stories are really important as well, as they have to do with the origin of the blessings, as well as Gold or Anya’s backstory. also, Ranon, the ghost, is the founding Emperor of Kartazan. this is only explicitly mentioned in the extra stories, so it’s imperative you read them if you truly want to enjoy the main story to the fullest extent.
it’s actually pretty heartbreaking, because Ranon did love Gold in his own way, however either he realised it to late, having used her to fulfill his ambitions, and also their sons seemed to despise their own mother to an unnatural degree, idk if that was the side-effects of the 3 wishes Gold bestowed upon him, but it made me feel so bad for her :((
