I really enjoyed this one! I recommend it if you want a short (really short) experience with a lovely ending.

Although I'd like it more if there was an arc less rushed about Maki's feelings towards Naru. However, it was a fun and short read.

I loved Naru's stubborness and will to help other people even if he didn't felt too sure or safe about things. Maki just looks like a big puppy that seeks for a big hug and a pet on the head.

The fact Jk doesn't know how to label his feelings does not suprise me having in mind his childhood and how he lived until now.
I assume he's torn between his attraction and guilt, also the weight he gave to Dan as someone important to his life now that he uses both heads

Honestly as a story itself I think it's worth it. I mean if you like tragedy and handle well violence and gore-like content.

This is not a romantic story, I think it's a really sad story with a bittersweet conclusion. The characters are indeed remarkable for their actions and inner monologue, they keep you invested in whatever they think and feel and the artist made a great work at trying to portrait it so we could understand somehow.

Other aspect that I appreciate is the way things like mental disorders are something we can talk about, the perspective. I mean, not that is perfect the way they're used but the way it's shown how people that lives with them are affected, especially things like the lack of empathy that I think are harder to comprehend if you don't lack it. May sound weird but I appreciate it sometimes as an autistic person who sometimes lacks empathy others may need. It's still not perfect, but it shows how people really can't change the way they feel things even if you try as hard as you can, even if it leads you to commit horrible things, the despair that brings to you to hold onto something for the sake of feeling.

And of course, the fact that having a mental illness doesn't mean you are a bad person; mental illnesses do have things that conditionate the way you are but doesn't mean you can't learn from your mistakes and try to change the way you live and relationate with people.

I wouldn't recommend to read this if you like cute and romantic stories with redemption arcs, angst with happy ending. This one may be considered a happy ending but personally I'd see it more like a "there's-no-other-way" kind of ending, call it hopeless if you want.

But yeah, interesting journey, not one that should be romanticised but just put at thought on it.
