basically, when the mc sleeps he remembers memories from his original life. he has this memory of a building collapsing that causes him to panic and bleed, in the finale he even hurt himself. its heavily implied that he died in the building collapse. another thing that’s happening is that he’s been losing memories of his original life the longer he lives in his current life, in the finale he’s essentially forgetting his last memory from his original life, mc believes this is like loosing himself past the point of no return.
