Help me find this yaoi manga. The uke and seme are best (childhoos?) friends. The uke has light colored hair and the seme has dark hair. They're high school students. The uke is in this sports program/scholarship thingy but he got diagnosed with some shrinking penis syndrome thing. Someone referred him to this sex therapy shop so he went with the seme. The lady there told him that unless he stimulates himself or has someone stimulate him, his condition will get worse and he won't be able to do sports anymore. At first the seme got super weirded out but this story has a happy ending and they became a couple at the end. Yes, the seme helped with his therapy, ahem. I remember this story is also very funny. Please help me find it. Thanks and have a good day!

Hey i'm trying really hard to remember this very wholesome, soul cleansing manga but I can't remember the name. I think the uke has short black hair, and the seme has short white hair. The manga starts off with the uke crying and the seme seeing that, thinking the uke looks beautiful when crying. Both were in school. I can't remember much of the plot (it's only 1 volume) but there's some plot twist like the uke liked someone but it wasn't reciprocated (can't remember if that someone is like his brother or something).

Please help me find this manga. Much appreciated!

Anyone knows any manga about unrequited loves that remain unrequited? Yaoi or not, it's fine. I'm in the mood for a heartbreak ;_;

Wait what, there's no more multi-page option? I'm already logged in. :(

Some of the newer chapters don't seem to have multi page.
Older chapters do, so I'm not sure what's up

It might be weird to post this here, but I think many of you can relate (or understand). I'm a girl and I started having a crush on a friend of mine (also a girl) almost 3 years ago. It's been so long, and it's become something more than just a crush. Also, Ever since then, we've become much closer (mainly because I basically spams her every day). I kinda did confess to her several times (through letters, because we're not living in the same country anymore and it's super nerve-wrecking for me to text/say it directly). She didn't really comment on those letters and we carried on as normal. I think the first time I confessed like this was in March 2016, around that time. I thought that I'd properly let her know my feelings in person someday when I can go visit her again.

But then, circumstances came, and just a few days ago she started talking about asexuality (she said she's asexual), at which point I decided to confess and ask how she felt about me having romantic feelings for her. Yes, guys, I got rejected. She said it's impossible for her to have such things as romantic feelings, but she still reassured me that I don't have to change how I act around her and that I don't have to apologize for anything, because she's been aware of my feelings for so long and she still treats me normally.

I was certainly relieved because I could finally say it properly to her. But guys, it still hurts a lot :( Real life is so much different from manga. I read Tamen De Gushi and I just wish that my love life could turn out so well. The conversation keeps replaying over and over in my head, and I find it so hard to move on. I'm the type of person who, once I have feelings for someone, cannot have the same kind of feelings for someone else (I'm guessing I'm demisexual, but that's not the main point now). Considering how she and I still keep in touch a lot now (mostly through texting), I think it'll be so hard to move on. Also, I've been exhausted devoting the past 3 years to her and I don't think I can start anew with someone else, at least for now.

If anyone of you has some advice for me or stories to share, that'd be great. Sorry for the long post, and thanks for reading.

    Heeyoo November 30, 2017 10:27 pm

I think you're really amazing for what you did, and also don't you feel a little lighter now that YOU HAVE TOLD her your feelings and that she properly gave you a reply. I had a crush on a guy too (am a girl though) but was never able to tell him because we weren't that close at all, and that was like 7yr ago. Now I've had a couple crushes since then, but I don't feel the same with them because I feel different them, I don't think you're supposed to feel exactly the same with your next one. I mean, some people make you feel happy others safe, others beautiful and so on and on.

With me, because I never told that guy that I liked him, I couldn't get him out of my head. But well it's been 7yr since then, sooo I moved on a long time ago, although I can still recall those feelings it's just memories of my first crush.

Well, I'm horrible at giving advices so all I can say is cheer up! I'm sure you'll find someone one day, or maybe you'll even get her. Being asexual doesn't mean she can't fall in love, it means having no sexual attraction to others.
And I'm proud of you even if I don't know you. I find people who confess very brave. I had a crush on a girl too and I think I still do but there's no way I can tell her my feelings.
So yeah, you did great, even if you got rejected. And people's feelings can change, she can still fall in love with you.

I've never truly fell in love or dated anyone but I can feel your sincere feelings through this one post... and i can't help but want to support you! First here is a hug!!! You must have loved her so much... i wish i could tell you that it won't hurt anymore but truth is I think the emotions stay but will blend do blend out with time ;) all I can say is you are growing and moving forwards the fact that u confessed and got rejected is a prove ! Be positive somewhere out there there will be the person! Thx for sharing I hope u all the best in the future !!

Thanks for your reply. That's truly a pity. Years before when I had my first crush (on a guy) I couldn't muster enough courage to confess, and then graduation came and I never saw him again. I think that sorta made me feel regretful, and I thought this time I should be different. Of course it wasn't easy at all (so I had to be a chicken and hide behind letters at first, while constantly gauging her reactions). I think there's always a lesson to be learned.

For now I guess I should just let things go their way. I'll be seeing her again next August. Honestly Idk how to face her now that the cat's out of the bag, but I'll manage.

This would be ideal. Personally I'm not sure how much effort I should put into making this possible, but I'll give it some thought. I did think of this after the rejection, but it's difficult because we're not in the same country and we don't see each other often. But i think I'll still care about her the way i've always done so far :) Thank you.

Hey guys, I'm learning Japanese by myself especially by reading Japanese raws. I've noticed that (for me) it's time consuming to look up kanji in the dictionary in general, especially when there's no furigana to tell you the readings. I either have to use the image-to-text function in google translate, or writing out the kanji by hand using handwriting keyboards. I'm thinking of developing an app that builds kanji/word meanings into the raw manga themselves (so like, you can just tap on the words/kanji and see the popup definitions). Possibility to add grammar usage tips as well. What do you guys think? I need feedback from people who are trying to learn Japanese through manga as well. :) This is very important to me. Thanks a lot

If it's needed, I can create an online survey and you guys can comment on it.

there is extension for browsers rikaikun/rikaichan and it offers translation of japanese sites. idk if it forks for pictures, but it might help, i believe you are thinking about something similar
also, it's better to learn kanji a different way xD a lot of people are recommending "Remember the kanji" by James Heisig

    Zalalalalala April 20, 2017 9:46 am

That sounds awesome! Their is actually already an app like for the north and South Koreans since being separated for so long had their language changed a lot, it's for the North Korean defectors and what it basically does is scan the words and translate for the North Koreans to understand.

    ahhh April 20, 2017 10:01 am

AWESOMEEEE! The pain of reading manga withour furigana is real! I have been writing it out with mouse to translate! If you can develop an app like this it will be awesome! I fully support this! Don't hesitate to ask me for help if u need any~~

    Reality bites April 20, 2017 12:11 pm

    You should go for it.

    Sakura April 20, 2017 2:46 pm

Thanks so much for the positive feedback. It's like a personal project so I'm still working on this idea. If you guys have any suggestion then don't hesitate to let me know. So far I'm considering these 2 options:

    1. Incorporate a dictionary (something like the online jisho.org) into a manga reading app that has the image-to-text function. Drawback: Might not be accurate especially if the quality of the raw scans is only subpar.

    2. Make it like the Youtube comment system. You know anyone can contribute subtitles on Youtube right? So I'm thinking, what if there's a platform that allows readers who know Japanese to contribute to a word list / kanji list specifically for each manga series (and I will somehow incorporate them into the raw scans themselves). One advantage is it can be more accurate, and we can easily include grammar explanations. Drawback: pretty much manual, might take a long time, and some people might not take this seriously.

One wild (and still pretty farfetched) vision I have is to be able to collab with the publishers in Japan and get the original manga texts from their database, but now I have no idea how to do that yet LOL

I'm just one person so of course my ideas are limited. Any feedback at all is appreciated!

    Sakura April 20, 2017 2:54 pm

Also does anyone know how I can reach out to more people for feedback? Tried posting on reddit but so far I haven't gotten anything.

What does it mean when a manga get licensed? Why can't it be scanned anymore?

    Mak0t0 October 28, 2015 12:19 pm

When a manga work is "licensed", that means that an American publishing company (like Viz or Tokyopop) has actually paid the Japanese artists and publishers money in exchange for the right to publish a particular manga in the U.S. Subsequent sales of the newly Western-released manga also funnel back royalties to the original artist.
Yeah... thats the best way I could explain it...

    Hope this helps!

To expand on this: the artist who creates the work holds the copyright to the work. It belongs to her. She sells publication rights to the Japanese publisher who may also purchase foreign sales rights. The publisher then makes copies available for readers to purchase. A percentage of each sale goes back to the artist. This is called a royalty.

The Japanese publisher can then sell foreign rights to foreign publishers. The artist will usually receive a percentage of this payment.

Scanlations on this site and sites like it are illegal because there has been no agreement between the artist and the site to share the work and no payment has or ever will change hands. The operators of this site make money through the pop up ads everyone keeps complaining about. None of the money goes to any of the artists of the works you are enjoying. It goes to the owners of the site. Scanlators, the site owners, the readers are all stealing from the artist.

Now, why licensing impacts you as a reader on this site: Apparently, the Japanese publishers don't police these sites, but US publishers who buy rights to publish these works in English do (and they have every right to do so) and so when a work is licensed by a US publisher, some scanlations groups are scared off and stop posting scanlations because they could potentially be sued because what they are doing is illegal.

Yes, it sucks for those who can't buy manga in their countries. Yes it sucks for those who can't afford to buy manga. Yes it sucks to wait for the US volumes. What would be nice would be if the Japanese publishers actually worked with the scanlators and provided a subscription service to readers, like Netflix for manga. I would totally pay a monthly fee to help the mangaka and get translated volumes faster.
