The ending is actually quite straightforward. The curse is broken once the Female Lead (FL) realizes she no longer loves the Male Lead (ML) and shares an intimate moment with another man. However, the ML is unaware that the curse has been lifted and mistakenly believes the FL has died. Heartbroken, the FL eventually chooses to take her own life, but because the cycle has been broken, they are no longer destined to be reborn together.
Kinda wished we see how the ML reacted when he learns that the FL died

no. adele is rieta’s daughter with her first husband, jade—who was continuously mentioned throughout the story to be had died from the plague (if i remember correctly?). we only had snippets of him since he had been dead long before the first chapter started.
This is not what I’ve imagined they would look like when reading the novel - anyways, its pretty short story, and big fan of misunderstanding I would give it 7/10 ~

How did she break the curse? By cheating? By realizing they don’t love each other anymore? She killed herself because ML doesn’t love her anymore? But if they don’t love each other, she could have continued living on and experiencing growing old or having a family.
I think I got the gist of the story but at the same time don’t. Can someone explain the premise of the story and the ending like I’m an idiot
She broke the curse by staying alive until her 20th birthday. She killed herself because she got tired of living like a caged bird tied down by orpheus' sense of responsibility. She did not want to live on because orpheus did not let her do anything ordinary in fear of her death and she felt like she would never be able to escape her guilt of cheating on him since he also seemed like he gave up on life. The premise of the story is that while the girl kept dying and coming back to life 15 times, she only came back to her 19 year old self while everyone else became older. Now, the ml, orpheus has grown rather paranoid over her deaths and want to prevent any slim chances of death because he failed to protect her 19 times. He also feels guilty for her first death which happened because he suggested her to go to the part of the forest where snakes were predominantly present. Now he doesn't know that eurydice retains her memory. And eurydice hides that due to her own insecurities and having the brain of a teenager. So out of frustration both mcs have fallen out of love and fl decides that death is her only form of liberation.
That’s how I understood the story, so it wasn’t as deep as I thought it would be lol - thank you for explaining !
