I'm putting this out there for everyone, BUT, especially the younger people out there. My daughter is 12yrs of. I got a call from her principals office today about a suicide note. It was my daughters note but it was her best friend's. After my daughter came home from school i did not mention the call, waiting to see if she would bring it up. She did and i did confirm i got the call and asked her what wad going on. She ( hesitantly) told me her friend was "going through some stuff". I told her she did not have to betray her friend's confidence BUT if the was something really going and she was worried she needed to tell somebody. I told her with best friends like her, her friend should be ok.. the principal had the nerve to say " I just thought you should know who your daughter is hanging out with" What the help is that? Like I'm gonna tell my daughter because her friend is having issues and needs to express herself my daughter can no longer be her friend? ..... Anyway, was my advice good enough? .... I don't know.
Its really nice to have someone to talk to when your in the dark. it may be little but its comfort knowing that even one person listens to you.
there was a time i was stuck under the clouds and my friend suddenly told me she was really glad to be my friend and that i mattered to her. she doesn't know but she was the reason why I didn't jump off a roof.
so yes having a friend that cares well im alive because she cared enough to stay.
I think it's good advice, your daughter is already friends with her best friend, I think if she didn't stick to her friends side then maybe that best friend will comit suicide much quicker with the result that your daughter will feel guilty about it. There's one advice I would give though, if your daughter becomes the one listening to the troubles, your daughter will need someone who supports her.
i'll just copy+paste this here then.
i think i'd probably do the same? if it's me it's how i raise up my daughter with a strong heart and morals to be able to help others. i would feel sympathy for that girl who wrote the suicide note. IMO, i would love my daughter to be able to influence other in a good way, be that someone beloved and confident that she won't hesitate to give love to others. - See more at: http://www.mangago.me/#sthash.0ZMDWltZ.dpuf
actually I have same big problem like that in my family.
I don't know they way some-adult think, when I saw my mother and father make scene because my younger sister crying get hit by her friend. They talk like, "Don't play again with her. just go play with someone else, you know that she is naughty girl and why did you play with her?? Just you see, once again I see you play with her, next time I'll hit you instead."
what a adult-talk.
hear that make my heart hurt. I mean, look here, look at me, I don't have friends because I didn't play with whoever out there, because they strange, naughty, noisy, yadda yadda.
beside, poor her (the friend), maybe she didn't mean to hit or maybe she had her reason to hit like my younger sister bad mouthing her. or maybe she didn't know that hit someone is no the right things to do among friends.
So I'm updating and editing my "Want to Read" , "Already Read" ,and "Now Reading" lists so everybody can see the (apparently I hid them without meaning to) and I'm working on the Already Read list and I'm at 700 and still have 500 to do. And I am now cursing myself for being such a bookworm yaoi addict! Lol! I still have over 1,000 in my Want to Read list but I get distracted with reading. Lol!
just remembered yaoi maybe a oneshot I haven't read in forever. Older teenage guy who is cool, had piercing and dresses really cool. Younger guy ( maybe a younger brother to a friend) confesses and older guy says you don't want to be with someone like me and younger guy says I don't care how you treat me just let me stay by your side. Anybody know?
Is it this one? http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/uncontrol/
I see so much excitement about Super Lovers animeand have to admit I haven't even read the manga yet.... ( ̄∇ ̄") ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
You should.....
#-.-)
reading after watching is probably fine too, but waiting for the anime updates once a week will be a torture (if you enjoy the story but haven't read the manga)...........
(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
and I think the manga is more advance than the anime, since the anime is only 10 episodes...... Hahahahaha........
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Doing things backwards is fun to do actually~~~~
because my close friend actually did the same thing and it always amuses me~~~~~~
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I've tried to read punch up once before, but I end up stopping because I didn't seem to enjoy the art and didn't understand the plot (maybe I didn't read the story carefully)..... but is it actually good?
( ̄へ ̄)
Because there's some manga that's actually really good but I end up not reading it because I didn't enjoy the art..... just like what I did to Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai.... but after a year of delay, I at last restart reading it and it's actually really good! I'm glad I read it!

So... my daughter stalks me on here and or conversation just now. Her: ok. Im gonna stop looking at your profile now. Me: yeeeeaah. You probably shouldn't do that." Her: nibbling on collar bones Mom, really? Me: Oh. Yeah. But they have some really nice collar bones! Her: sometimes you disturb me... . Lol!
haha. Your such an awesome Mom. ☆☆☆☆ 5 star Mom!
lol. You sound like an awesome mom, and your daughter also sounds like she's an awesome daughter.
If I ever have a kid, I'd like to have a relationship like that with them.
Do you mind telling how old are you and your daughter? I'm surprised because the persons on this site are quite young and don't have a kid.
No theres actually quite a few people who are a little bit older.
Thanks!ヾ(☆▽☆)
Thank you and she is!
Im 36 and my daughter is 14. She doesn't read yaoi tho. She's read a shounen ai. She mainly comes on here to read Fairy Tail.
Honesty is the best policy. She's old enough I can talk to her like a friend but still some bounderies because first and foremost I'm MOM. (⌒▽⌒)
That's how my mom was with me...she didn't try to limit my freedom or stalk me...and I never felt the need to do bad stuff or rebel...teeny bit of exploration and stuff at like 8 or 19...
What's funny is she's the one stalking ME(⊙…⊙ ). Lol. Yeah. I tried all the experimenting after 19.
Yeah when you do dumb stuff at 19 its all on you...and that's pretty normal....gotta experiment some
I have 3 teenage sons. Well one is officially a man now (19) so not all of us on here are so young. I accidentally left a BL manga out and my middle son (16) found it accidentally. He picked it up thinking it was a another manga I brought home from library (like D.Gray-man or Book of Friends) but it was Viewfinder!! He says he's traumatized now and he is so mad at me and swears he will never read another Japanese manga again. He said it was nasty, but I told him adults have their own interests and why did he pick it up if it was so obviously hidden. His Dad has worse stuff as far as pornography. I'm lucky because my hubby is ok with whatever turns me on because he says he gets to benefit from it in the end.
Ok. First thing I'm going to say... is.. You are amazing! 3 Teenage sons? Wow. Second thing I'm going to say is.... for some reason The sons always will feel very protective over their mothers. And I think you were honest and explained what it was he saw. I've said before "honesty is the best policy" But don't bring any family ties into the equation. THIS is just for you.
Lol guys can rationalize a lot if it gets them laid. The kid is young lol he'll get over it.
