i just. found out this have side stories and ahaishsjsjjssjjs. the way that i started screaming kicking the air rolling in my bed when they both notice each other's worries/anxieties and immediately communicate it with each other!!! i love them so muucchhhh. i love how silly and over the moon in love they are while also still being mature in how they look after one another's well being, being very understanding about their respective personal problems, and respect each other's boundaries ahhhhhhhhh
ahhh. yeah, this is still good for me. i know y'all hate this but the biggest problem with the manhwa is the vibe choices lol. even after all that the vibes is still bright color and sparkly vibes while the novel is much more blatant about the fact that the ending is not a happy one for anyone, really, and the vibe/prose choices are much more fitting for it. like, it still depicts the amusement park date, the christmas celebration and such, but damn is it in unsettling even with the supposed "happy" event going on.
so much little lines that show that even if either of them might be happy/content at the moment, both of them are waiting for the other shoe to drop and also kinda make it obvious that the moment howoo becomes strong enough to actually take on hoyoon shit will go down lol, but that's beyond what this story want to tell.
having the read the novel... I kinda understand why the manhwa changed around some development (the fight against sword king should be part of the tournament thing instead) but man. I really hope that we still get to see everything fall apart for ito. she really is the type of character who deserves every single bad thing to happen to her and more.
Endo's gay ass never disappoints. I'm always thoroughly entertained by everything he does. He's such a funny little guy, I love him so much. Biblical greed and such, with him with Sakura in one ark and Takiishi in the other. He certainly know how to pick em lol. Also Takiishi is giving major little guy energy this whole chapter lol. You wouldn't think these two were just about to wreck the whole place just a little while ago lol.
Also yipee! Looks like the Suo yakuza/triad theories are the true. Occam's Razor and all. Can't wait for what's next.

read the novel in like 5 hours hoping that i would come out of it a Dohyun defender like some of you guys and I just... can't.
The novel's narrative is so cloying and use every single opportunity to hammer home "omg poor Dohyun!!!" over and over again that I just rolled my eyes at some point especially when what Wooyeon experienced is genuinely henious yet got swept aside so easily. Wooyeon apologizing for reacting badly to the revelation is CRAZY. Like, his life is the one getting torn apart, and the one person he loved and consider his safe space betraying him, with the whole revelation not even coming from Dohyun himself because for some fucking reason he chose to talk about all that with Wooyeon's crazy ass mother who he KNOWS Wooyeon suffered a lot with instead of immediately fessing up to Wooyeon first.
Like the plot twist of Dohyun being under Wooyeon's mom thumb itself is not bad. But the way that the author chose to go about it and handle the aftermath is genuinely so infuriating to me because so much of it is just one big pity party for Dohyun who ended up being forgiven in less than one week by Wooyeon anyway while the real victim of that whole situation just. Have to get over it because Dohyun is soooo nice and pitiful how can he not? And at that point I just realized that the narrative have no respect for Wooyeon as a character at all and I gave up.
So. TL, DR: I'm sure with his backstory you guys will find Dohyun pitiful and cheer for him when the time comes but I don't think I will
seeing dohyun be all suave and lowkey manipulative with wooyeon when he have the upper hand in every way possible from the beginning

i missed the confirmation for the side stories last time i read so im happy! i'm lowkey hoping for some AU side stories lol. Maybe an omegaverse or hunter-sentinel or esper-guide ones. I would be happy for anything more of these guys of course lol
Man i wish i can get Ouri to grow on me enough to overlook the part where his whole thing with Uta started because he want to fuck over his teammate who had done nothing wrong to him. Like the author so blatantly wrote him as the "sympathetic second male lead" that i just kinda roll my eyes everytime the whole love rivalry thing comes up
I let this marinate for like a few months and we're still in this fuckass arc. i mean it have lovely moments and important yes but like. this could have been shortened by 10 chapters or so and still retain most of what needs to be conveyed
i cant believe this is ending in 2 chapters. I think there's at least 2 potential side couple that i hope get their own series soon because the author's art and characterization is just too good for this to be it because i've more or less made my peace that this isnt getting side stories (i think)
