rereading this and i can't believe i actually enjoyed it back then lol it always needs an incident to further the plot which just makes it boring and not well thought out

i think this is the only regency manhwa with kids that i actually liked so far because there's no nuclear family propaganda or breeding kink or pregnancy fetish when the characters are discussing family and kids. AND it was just a miniscule subplot to the storyline. that's saying a lot.

i also ended up liking noella during the chloe arc, a shame she and adele didn't hit it off after that...

the only downside to this for me is the twin's names. like deonia and eonia ??????? makes it sound like eon was just an afterthought like i'm all for matching names for twins but deon and eon ???? might as well have named them john and johna

ethan, theon and ray look fine but dorothy and julia looks squiggly ??????? like they didn't know how their features would mature so they just gave them elongated bodies and hoped for the best... it's like i was born a king's daughter all over again.

also eh on their love story idk feels very flat and lacking like a good chunk of the 68 chapters i've read was just her AND the author dragging on her inner monologue of being good in this life like i think we got the point by ch 30.... also very mediocre world building i'm ngl like i saw that panel of julia walking thru the desert and that was the final nail in the coffin for me i fear

and her love interests are just very bland as well ???? ethan's choices and reasoning were very ERM while theon is just. there. both him and the author has done shit over the 4 years he was in dorothy's proximity.

nothing particularly good about this so might drop.

everyone dismissing this and saying she's actually not 12 and is mentally an adult older than phileo is ILLITERATE and completely missing the point. she is only 12 to everyone else and is RELATED BY BLOOD to phileo as he is biologically her uncle. saying and thinking that shit about him and potential partners is just weird as fuck and saying otherwise makes you just as weird.

idgaf abt incest but promoting and acting this like is some normal dynamic between a father and daughter regardless of blood relation is disingenious.
